I'm on build OPW27.113-25 (security march and reteu channel)
Is someone received a newer version thru update menu?

How are you finding the device so far ? I'm bit confused with the statement of edge to edge display in cpw description definitely isn't rather big bezel each side [emoji848] also would of liked the option to switch the back and home buttons round hate having The back key on the left when my thumb naturally hovers over right side of the display and option to hide would be nice , other than that very impressed so far very smooth and camera is awesome

After just one day not a lot to say. But first thought is very good.
I come from a Jiayu S3. I can only compare with the new phone of my wife, a Nokia 7+ and moto seem to be very good too.
Bezel is the same on Nokia and it's not so big, it's fine for me.
I'm using fingerprint gestures and on screen buttons are hidden. it's very good like that.
Just a time of practice for the back key postion I think. It's the same on the Nokia too.
Will add more in few day especially for the camera....didn't tried yet.

I'll try some things to see if my phone can detect OTA update.

Tried with a vpn and no still no update....have to wait.
Are you on "reteu" channel update too?
Will try with my second sim operator when I'll receive the new sim with nano size.

Hi, is the CPW phone single or dual sim? Maybe this affects update speed?

With fingerprint gesture you can switch back and recent gesture. So could be a godd solution for you too.

It's my first moto device.
Was not aware about the moto channels update before and delay between update on different channels.
Maybe we'll have may update directly on reteu then :)

Have had the phone for a week now, and so far so good!
I'm coming from a nexus 6p and the phone is smoother and has much better batery life. The screen has very good visability outoors and the camera is good too, but i do miss the 6p's laser auto focus.
Mine came out the box as reteu with OPW27.113-45 1 april 2018

Hi,

Usually, as far for last Moto G5 series:
  • RETEU: Western Europe
  • RETGB: UK
  • RETUS: USA
  • RETLA: Latin Ameria
  • RETIN: India

I don't know for the rest... Australia, Africa, General Asia, Japan, Russia, etc.
But, you need to know that UK != Europe (as far for Lenovo-Motorola).

Regards.

I have the build Blur_Version.27.11.29.evert.retail.en.US
I checked in the Motorola OTA Link Generator Tool that normally look in the moto-cds.appspot.com motorola firmware OTA server.
But have an error for XT1926 and reteu or retbr or retuk
I think there is no OTA update then for the Europe model yet in the firmware server.
