For some reason, I'm having atrocious WiFi performance with CM (and CM based ROMs) from my home. I've tried 2 different access points with the same result. See the attached screenshot.

If I connect to the same WiFi, in the same spot, using a stock/stock based ROM (like CF's Turbo ROM), I get proper connectivity (70 Mb+ up and down to the internet).

Can anyone think of a reason for this? Different drivers? Any ideas here? Thanks in advance.
I have been running this rom and staying current on the nightlies until last week when I went back to my stock backup on my Verizon turbo to trade it in. My wifi issues have resolved and my battery is noticeable better. Not complaining, I love this CM 13 rom. I had consistent wifi range issues at the far end of my small house. it would also lose connection and reconnect at random times every other day regardless of range while no other devices had issues on the same wifi band. I work from home so I am on my wifi a lot and in good position to notice as i play internet radio on it most of the day. I did not tweak anything, just installed the rom in Feb and nightlies every couple weeks. No changes to radios or bootloader. When i have been in the office, my battery would run out before the evening with little use off wifi. A Verizon tower was close by, but i had no data connection and poor cell in the building. I assume it used extra power to try to get signal, but that was fast draining. Haven't been able to test that with stock rom. Data connection when out and about has been fine except for the office. Overall it wasn't bad enough to try to work to make better, but definitely noticeable now that I am back on stock rom. Thought I would share since you described wifi issues.

question: did you have wifi problem with cm12.1 too? I really in pain with this issue too, I thought I solved it by custom kernel, but no, it still exists....

I wasn't on cm12 long enough to remember. I can usually fix my Wi-Fi issues with a reboot. it can be fine for days sometimes. not a big deal and I'm always on nightlies. maybe the official build is better.

I'm temporary back to customized stock 6.0.1 xt1225 (the device is xt1250), tested for about 6 hours and didn't get wifi issue.

Wifi issue is very random: the speed is going down, then I immediately see wifi disconnect (LTE icon is showing). After 1 minute I don't get wifi to connect back. Then I go to the settings -> wifi & wifi is connecting back.

I don't understand why it happens in cm13 rom, but it's quite painful, especially if you download something at slow public wifi.

Camera and torch suddenly not working

Everything was working fine, I was running a nightly from last week. Suddenly, the camera stopped working. Rebooting could not fix it. So, when I got home, I did a clean install (wiping data) and installed the latest nightly. Camera worked again, until now. It's not working, nor is the torch (the tile is missing from the quick settings pane). No app can make use of the camera (Motorola Camera, Bacon Camera, Allo, Duo, Hangouts...). I was running CM stock kernel, but now I tried BHB's and it doesn't work either.

Here's a logcat from the moment when Motorola Camera crashed.

This happens when you change Camera advance settings (using ladybug menu), i think settings that cause issue is Temporal Noise option. For detailed discussion please check RR rom thread.

Thank you VERY much! That fixed it! I never thought that little setting would break the camera so badly. In case others stumble across this same problem, just delete the file /data/property/persist.camera.enable_vpu and reboot.

Rumor is bhb is working on it.

I know @Skrilax_CZ said he planned to build after it went nightly.

I'm not sure if we are about to have two unofficial builds and an official build or what...

I'm not speaking for anyone, but based on what people have promised, and based on past and current actions...

@Skrilax_CZ will give us an official CM 14 build.

@bhb27 will do what he did before, work on CM-based ROMs with lots of extra tweaks, options. (As well as his kernel)

@calsurferpunk is also doing what he did before, fill the gap between "official" CM14 and all the tweaks/options on CM-based ROMs. His "unofficial" CM ROMs are a hybrid -- mostly CM with a few options found in @bhb27's ROMs.

@calsurferpunk CM 14.1 It's running great, as we have to take it as an test build, I had some random reboots but it's really running smooth, great job!

I'm anxiously waiting for the CM 14.1 Official release, since we won't have stock updates from Motorola anymore.
I was just guessing if there are any specific changes on the code, to Nougat run on Snap 805, Google took a while to release 7.0 on Shamu. (New drivers from Qualcomm maybe?)

I am having problems with the latest nightly (20161113) and Xposed. If I start the phone with any module enabled (for testing purposes I enabled just Greenify and BubbleUPNP) the phone gets into a bootloop. It only stops if I disable xposed.

Newest CM security updates apparently break a lot of xposed modules? I saw it mentioned in another device thread:

That can't be it because Xposed modules worked fine on earlier builds. I installed the exact same modules that worked fine on earlier builds of CM and it just started to boot loop on this build.
Can't be?...Because R74 was upstreamed into CM like 48hours ago. All previous CM builds have been R72.
All related to Android R74 changes breaking Xposed. This will and can only be fixed when Xposed gets updated. Not vice versa.

ELi5:
CM/Android will never change to support Xposed.
Xposed has to change(update) it's framework to support newer Android versions.
Modules for Xposed will have to be updated to support any relevant Xposed changes.
As stated that's not the issue with cm it's due to xposed mods not being compatible after the last security update in android.
If this is the reason, then you have to go to the Xposed module devs and have them update their modules to be compatible.
