What exact settings did you change? Mine acts like it is recording but they all have 0 length. Rooted and I have paid version from previous phone

This one works, right out of the box! It's expensive, but worth it. It records both sides of the conversations from the "line", not from the microphone. You can disable automatic recording and use the on screen button to record only the calls you want. Sweet.
