Italians do it better... ;)
is the hardware different on different models ?

SM4391AE7E1 : ASIN B01K7GE2H8 : 1.8Ghz according to some sellers, 2.1Ghz according to other sellers. How to be sure ?
SM4395AE7L1 : ASIN B01KHZ9HHY spanish/italina : cpu freq : only 1.8 GHz ??? (according to amazon : https://www.amazon.es/Moto-Smartpho...ie=UTF8&qid=1481392348&sr=8-3&keywords=moto+z
using MSM8996 "lite" and not MSM8996 (see : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qualcomm_Snapdragon_devices )
SM4391XXXE1 are french models, SM4395XXXL1 are Spanish ones. Both are dual sim and both with same hardware clocked @1.82 GHz.

They should be full MSM8996 since what I know, only underclocked as "lite" version...

People using Turbo kernel that makes them work @2.15 GHZ again have infact reported no issue...

Brazilian Moto Z

My Brazilian Moto Z is a Moto Z Style Edition DC 64GB - Back / Graphite - Retail (sim unlocked), unlockable boot loader
It is a XT1650-03, P/N 92928LYESAF5

---------- Post added at 07:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:57 PM ----------

According to PDADB, XT1650-01 (Moto Z Droid) and XT1650-02 (Moto Z Force) have Snapdragon 820; XT1650-03 ((International) Moto Z) and XT1650-05 (Chinese Moto Z) have Snapdragon 820 lite.

In europe we have the lowest specs and the highest prices...

What I hate more is the 32 GB only of storage when in the rest of the world quite all are having 64 GB (for less!)

4391 is the French market model... It's better than UK one since it is dual SIM (even if not officially declared by Moto...)

As already reported in another thread Motorola has done a big mess with codeames and model numbers...

At least the unlocked Moto Z's are all Griffins even if on bootloader page are reported as Sheridans too (and on some sites too...). I don't know if locked Verizon's Moto Z are considered Griffin too (but they are Sheridans for sure).

Ley me add that about model numbers, XT1650-02 and XT1650-04 should be both Force editions (I don't know differences between the two...)
i also have xt1650-04 but i cant find any info about this model on the internet and mine has same all specs of moto z force but 3 GB ram and Dual sim ! i want to update this to nougat !

I guess this fits in here best instead of opening another thread:

It would be really helpful if anyone of you lucky ones with a Dual-SIM/dual-IMEI device could provide fastboot information of their phone (please also redact your serialnumber, IMEI, bt_mac and wifi_mac).
Find attached below two fastboot info dumps from my device: "fastboot getvar all" and "fastboot oem config" (serialnumber etc redacted).

Moto Z models - Confusing!

Here's what I've gathered...

XT1650-01: Moto Z Droid
XT1650-02: Moto Z Force Droid (Verizon, USA)
XT1650-03: Moto Z Dual-Sim (Canada, EU, Brazil...)
XT1650-03: Moto Z (Latin America, USA, Italy, Japan, Mexico)
XT1650-04: Moto Z Force Dual-sim
XT1650-05: Moto Z Dual-Sim (China)

I don't understand why Lenovo did this with the Moto Z. All other Moto E, G, X I've ever owned have a unique XT#### model for each regional variation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Motorola_products#XT_series_(2011-_)

I have the Z Force Droid, XT1650-02 (Verizon USA). I ordered a replacement back cover. The frame is wrong because the force has a thicker back frame bezel than the regular Z model. Turned out the part I needed was only a small glass insert that you can heat up and remove the cracked part and re-apply the new part (order separately from the entire frame.

wrong frame, but not needed, returned to China:

(~$20)

actual part needed instead:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-New-To...var=485062990984&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
(~$10)

I hope this information clears up some confusion for others. :D
