I don't know if this is the correct place to write this but, I need to go back to stock. I'm still on the stock rom but I flashed TWRP, a custom kernel and supersu (I was following this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/how-to/guide-how-to-root-moto-z-supersu-t3551113).
So, my question is: will a factory reset "replace" that kernel with the stock one? If not, I think I'll need the stock nougat firmware image (it says NPLS26.118-20-5-3 as build number, my Moto Z is a 1650-03, reteu dual sim), can you tell me where can I find that and how do I flash it?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english :)

I mean, I flashed it (Android 7.0) yesterday (see screen shot) and still haven't received an update to Android 7.1.

Is that normal?
Have i made a mistake?

Help! I have a Moto Z from Mexico, so I downloaded the XT1650-03_GRIFFIN_RETMX_MP¨L24.246-17_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-03 file. Now my phone is in, what I guess, a bootloop. I can't get pass the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" message.

I can get into recovery, and I even flashed TWRP. But no matter what I do, I can't get past this message.

Any suggestions will be appreciated; my Moto Z is too useful to become a paperweight! Thanks.

EDIT: Tried flashing the 7.1.1 update (my phone was at 7.1.1 when I started flashing it). I got this message with fastboot:

If you're sure that your phone's software channel is retmx and you've got the retmx 7.1.1, try I RSD Lite instead of fastboot to flash the firmware.

just skip gpt and bootloader, rest will work fine, maybe you have to flash twice... but you probably have to use the ota link generator to get the first patch.

Hello, are you trying to flash the gpt? If so, remove the line from this file.

I got a script on the net to run on linux and run that order to go back to 7.1.1 stock

Code:
sudo ./fastboot getvar max-sparse-size
sudo ./fastboot oem fb_mode_set
sudo ./fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
sudo ./fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
sudo ./fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
sudo ./fastboot erase modemst1
sudo ./fastboot erase modemst2
sudo ./fastboot flash bluetooth BTFM.bin
sudo ./fastboot flash dsp adspso.bin
sudo ./fastboot flash logo logo.bin
sudo ./fastboot flash boot boot.img
sudo ./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.5
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.6
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.7
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.8
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.9
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.10
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.11
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.12
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.13
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.14
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.15
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.16
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.17
sudo ./fastboot flash oem oem.img
sudo ./fastboot erase carrier
sudo ./fastboot erase cache
sudo ./fastboot erase userdata
sudo ./fastboot erase ddr
sudo ./fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
sudo ./fastboot reboot

You can use this as a batch File on Windows too. Just remove sudo and use Fastboot instead of Mfastboot

Sent from my Moto Z using XDA Labs

Hey i also have to relock my bootloader. I have to flash stock rom first. Which file can i use?

XT1650-03_GRIFFIN_RETEU-EMEA_MPL24.246-17_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-03_CFC_EMEA.xml.zip

My battery is damaged and the phone shuts down when using the flash with 25% or less :(

I have stock 7.1.1 on my XT1650-03 reteu, unlocked and rooted (TWRP and Magisk).
What should I do to be able to get OTAs again?
Will flashing stock bootloader be enough?
My next OTA is NPL26.118-20-5
I would also prefer not to loose my settings, apps and data
