but cannot install as kernel is modified
any way to get stock eu kernel ?

Why don't you simply download stock ROM from here and flash back kernel (& recovery & system if needed) by fastboot to get it?
Are you still on -17?

no i unlocked it the minute i got it


after some attempts i flashed recovery.img + oem
fastbooted the system files + modem and the rest
then wiped to default
then the update went through
first thing i did was to temporarily boot to twrp and make
backup of that point
then rooted and it looks ok
kernel looks like stock "hudsoncm"

yes u are completely stock..can u please provide with ur twrp backup?

the backup i did was with data and twrp in r/w
so need to wipe then try to restore and format data then rebackup
not sure when i have the time but u can try doin what i did

There are only Chinese and English langs on Chinese firmware.
After bootloader unlocked, you can also flash US, EU, India, or Verizon firmware, no problem.
Sorry for my bad English too, my MOTOZ is XT1650-05, I had flashed EU firmware. Hope this can help you.

Somebody got OTA update but I hadn't. I'm downloading verizon nougat firmware now. But the speed of filefactory is really sucks.

after that the update to 24.246-45 went all the way but:
i see in settings about build MPL24.246-45
then i connect to motorola device manager and it shows:
MPL24.246-17 us retail no update
go figure..

thanks. i somehow managed to install everything, phone boots and everything works.
only one issue: when booting into recovery i get this (see pic) and i can't see any options. tried pressing every single button but nothing changes, it stays like this all the time. have you experienced this as well?

anybody had success to flash this rom
after flashing (system,oem,recovery,boot) my device stock on blue moto page !!
i think for installing nougat we need to flash gpt (why?)
