Despite my strong belief that people who are interested in rooting should buy devices with unlocked bootloaders instead of expecting the magical hackers in the sky to give out free exploits (which are in short supply), I'm once again continuing to encourage bad behavior by publishing another root exploit:

http://vulnfactory.org/public/motofail2go_windows.zip

Instructions:

1. Download and extract the entire zip file.

2. Ensure your device is connected via USB and that you have installed the latest ADB drivers from Motorola.

3. Double-click "run.bat" and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. The exploit will ask you to press a button combination at one point.

If the exploit prints an error saying something like "run-as: Package 'com.motorola.bug2go' is unknown", then unfortunately you will have to wipe your data and cache partitions and try again.

This exploit should work on the Razr M, Atrix HD, Photon Q, Razr i (you might need to replace some of the binaries with x86 versions?), and the upcoming Razr HD.

Same error twice.
How do you wipe your data and cache partitions on this phone?

Try booting into stock recovery
ATGadmin:

Boot into fastboot.
Then select recovery (move with the down volume and select with the up volume key)
Now ull see the dead android hit both volume buttons
Then just go from there

But i would download root checker to see if u have root. It looks like u do

Root Checker gave back a big negative on root.

If you received the error message I described in the instructions, then there is no way it could have worked during that attempt. You'll need to wipe data/cache and try again.

I posted my error message. Not the same error message you posted though.
Anything else I should try?
tyia ;)

The error message I posted occurs in your exploit output. ;)

Wipe data/cache and try again, and it should be good to go.

Beautiful!
Worked great after factory reset/wipe cache.
Installed BusyBox which is working as well.
While I don't have a paypal account, if you PM me your address, I'll send you a U.S. Postal Service Money order for $25.00.
Thanks again bro! ;)
Now all we need is a custom recovery so I can cook a new ROM for this beast! ;) ;)

Hey, I fixed the Reliability Issues. Roots Every Time.

Here is also a cleaned up LINUX version:

    You are welcome!

Sorry, but while this is the kind of thing that may be totally normal on XDA, it's not really acceptable in the real world of software development. You added a single line (added "adb kill-server" to remove previous instances of ADB), moved some lines around in a way that doesn't make any sense and will definitely *not work* all of the time, rewrote the exploit printouts (which has no effect on the success rate), and then slapped your name on it. Now I'm stuck giving tech support to *your* version of the exploit (I've already gotten emails).

The right thing to do would be to contact me, mention that killing previous ADB instances seems to fix some problems, and I would package a new release and publish it, thanking you. That way there aren't multiple places to get multiple different versions of the exploit. As it is, your version might coincidentally work most of the time, but it's not the right way to do this, and there's no way you could possibly know that without reverse engineering the meat of the exploit in the motoafail2go binary.

That said, I know you were just trying to help. Let's just pretend this happened the right way instead:

Thanks to Childofthehorn for pointing out that killing previous ADB instances may resolve some of the ADB protoocol issues some people were having. New release can be found at the following URL (original URL also works). Also includes Linux and OS X support:
