Hello, So now I am getting a bit further, but not much :)

The first command works: fastboot oem fb_mode_set
OKAY 0.004s, finished. total time 0.005s

The second command does not work: fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
sending
OKAY
Writing "partition"....
bootloader no suitable package!
FAILED (Remote failure)
finished total time 0.085s

Also worth noting I am now only alternating between bootloader screen and black screen no longer see the blue Moto screen...

Any ideas?

Do you have the firmware package extracted to your platform tools folder?

See if you were running Linux it would be easy like all I have to is just extract the firmware Ina new folder then right-click that folder and click on open terminal here, if your able to do something similar to that that on Windows then just do that to save the headache, maybe try right clicking on the extracted firmware folder and click I think cmd here or something like that then once you use fastboot devices to confirm your device is connected as fastboot then use the flash commands

Extract the firmware in the same folder as fastboot
Hold shift and right click in the open folder. Select open command shell. The run your commands.

Hi,
Thanks for reply, yes I have extracted all needed files to the "Minimal Fast Boot" application folder, and used the right click method to run cmd. I will check all this again of course as you have suggested.
So the problem is that it doesnt find the file?

Thanks
Andy

The files aren't nested in another folder are they? They should be listed out in the minimal ADB folder.
Did you install the Moto drivers?
Just taking stabs in the dark now.
You could try using Moto smart assistant or RSDlite.

gpt.bin is present in the folder, as to the Moto drivers yes I installed the following "Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant".
