here is a nice gallery app that moto just released. I downloaded it from the google play store
enjoy

you might need to copy it directly to system/app folder to get it to work

You need to set permissions correctly (rw-r-r) Or Just flash my zip in recovery

I flashed the zip and nothing happened, apps not in my device I also tried to paste in my system apps with no luck. I'm on Nexus5 Lollipop stock/rooted

Delete the Gallery from your /system that you pasted into it, mount system in recovery and flash the zip again. Works perfectly here.


What's your recovery version, on a side note.

Nothing, idk what im missing. it said it was a good flash, i reboot the phone look through my apps and i dont see anything new.

Did you click Gallery?

The Motorola Gallery is named the same thing as the stock gallery that comes with the phone, unless you're on Lollipop of course.

The zip flashing did not work for me on Cataclysm ROM either... Then I copied the apk to system/app and set the permissions to whatever the op said few posts before... Reboot and worked... But I can also confirm that zip did not work for me...

Umm yea im on Android 5.0 "Lollipop" i just assumed it worked on 5 bcuz on of the commenters saying it worked was on 5 but i didnt think to specifically ask. Smh my bad

It does work on lollipop 5.0... I don't think anybody here is talking about KitKat
