Report back here... doing this won't damage your phone forever...if it does'nt boot any more, you can get it back to life with RSD-Lite and a sbf-file

Tried with dd, failed on both DX and D2 kernel.
Flashing boot-only sbf revived it. I knew it was a long shot, but still disappointing.

Thx for the try...I flashed the system partition, but hadn't time to boot with it yet. But I made a nandroid of the partition, so I was able to get the files out of it

Probably I'll try the system-only-flash-and-boot today

well, i thought se only do that if you can boot into fastboot which we can't with defy
