Ohh ok, maybe try this tomorrow then.you need to flash the old rom then you will get the update on air ...
relocking your xoom is not mandatory to get OTA updates. You can skip this command.fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
Thanks. All OK for me. Any guidance on how to root?relocking your xoom is not mandatory to get OTA updates. You can skip this command.
Already tried that but unfortunately I am getting an error when I want to flash Universal roor zip from recovery. The error says that sdcard is not mountedIn order to root, you should have a look to this topic : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241
It requires to flash your recovery. This implies that next OTA will not be applied because recovery will no longer be the stock one. So if a new OTA pops up, you should first revert to stock recovery, apply OTA, then change again your recovery.
I think this must be the right way to do, maybe something easier exists. If you do not revert your recovery to stock, you will get an error because zip file is signed and cannot be applied.
