Something I noticed while using this bitgapps

1. Some apps keep showing notification "play service error." Good thing it's easily fixable by resetting the permission that the app require from the Google play service app.

2. I don't know if this is happened to others. Google map took extremely long to load and find my location, turns put the culprit is the same as no 1. I have to reset the permission for location, then set it to "allow all the time"

3. No setup wizard, which is good, makes setup faster. But when I need to restore so many apps, I have to tap install manually of all the apps I need to reinstall.

Other than, everything work flawlessly.

Some how you have lost the SMS permission from GooglePlayServices APK. A clean flash installation can fix this.

Use different gapps. These gapps are meant for the slimmest possible package with Google services. Most people in this community use apps like titanium backup or swift backup to restore their apps and data so Google backup isn't needed (and it's quite terrible compared to the above mentioned)

And the process failed. The recovery said wrong Android SDK ??.

Error: No Google Contacts Sync in Accounts under Settings app.

Here's How You Can Fix It
• Open Settings app.
• Click on Apps & Notification.
• Check all permissions for GooglePlayServices, whether allowed or not. If all permission denied, Allow them.
• On upper right corner there is a three dot menu. Click on Show system app.
• Search for Google Contacts Sync app.
• Check whether Contacts permission is allowed or not for that app. If disabled, please allow Contacts permission so that it can Sync Google Contacts.
• A restart maybe required.

About above issue, in some ROMs all permission denied for Google Play Services after clean flash installation. I am still unaware of why this happens. If you ended up with no Contacts Sync in Settings < Accounts. Just follow steps from above post. I will update XDA post with an F&Q based on this.

Calendar sync adapter is not there from start.

Just a couple of things I have noticed (I am on crDroid, OP5T):
1. When going into AOSP Calendar, after logging into google, it tries to log me in again into google, and if I type my account it says, this account already exists on your device.
2. when on dark mode, going into Google play system update, it shows description in black font instead of white, stil readable since background is dark grey.
3. Google -> Backup, shows waiting to backup for everything (app data, call history, contacts etc.)
4. After setting up fingerprint, once it just hung up on lockscreen, and wouldnt unlock, tried entering pin, after entering numbers and enter, it froze, had to restart it, might be crDroid issue. How would I go about gettingl ogs for this info ?

I can sort out only first three out of four and fourth is not the part of this project itself.

When you use opengapps, it replace rom calendar with google calender. Hence the same is not followed by BiTGApps. Login issue occurs in aosp calendar not in google calendar. So you should install Google Calendar from playstore

I have no idea about it. It is just app itself. Might be overlay issue in playstore with dark mode. That will be fixed by google itself.

You might need some sort of core app which support backup function. I will figure it out in next update of Q.
