Thanks for fast response, additional questions not already answered in QnA:You might need some sort of core app which support backup function. I will figure it out in next update of Q.
In next update of Q, backup script will be implemented so that you don't have to flash gapps after dirty flash rom. But addon script is already implemented in Q source. You can check my git. Thanks for fast response, additional questions not already answered in QnA:
1. Do I have to reflash gapps on rom update ?
Just consider here. If you have gapps without backup script. You need to follow installation instruction from OP post. Thanks for fast response, additional questions not already answered in QnA:
2. If so, when updating roms, not clean install, do I have to restart to recovery before re-flashing these Gapps ?
I am creating a semi universal patch. So just wait for it.Is assistant addon missing from the first post, or am I missing something ?
If you install system to slot A then you must install gapps to slot B or vice versa. For A/B Devices you need to install GApps in second Slot. What do you mean by this?
Please provide for ARM devicesDo not report bugs, if you use any type of backup application like Migrate, TB, etc. You can use these applications to backup user applications, not system applications like GApps. Most often refer to BiTGApps components. Users reporting broken contact sync after restoring old backup.

It's mentioned in the FAQ part of the OP and in several other places as well.I have a problem with my contacts not being synced. It could be some permission issue, my ROM sometimes has this weird issues with permissions not being requested. Any ideas ?
Edit: I've traced this back to some permissions issue, I also have it with some location permissions on my ROM. I've used TWRP 3.3.1 ( the latest for my X820 ) and just flashed BITGapps with it. Other people seems to be fine with the same ROM so maybe I made some mistake while flashing or wiping from TWRP ?
Logs are attached.
