never got any such issue, try changing sdcard or use different roms

I downloaded sp tools and installed usb drivers, then I chose scatter file from the extracted rom. unticked everything except recovery. Clicked download button and connected my off device to the system. Now error is coming 'PMT is changed, must be downloaded'

Any ideas?

Restore data from JellyBean CWM Backup to Kitkat

Hi Umangleekha,

I installed the stock Kitkat on my MMX A120 and tried restoring the data from my JellyBean CWM backup, but it failed.

Can you please help me with the process to restore data (precisely contacts, SMSs, mail etc...) from JellyBean CWM Backup to Kitkat..

My purpose behing this ROM was to give a clean, bugfree, stable and light KITKAT ROM based on stock kitkat of canvas 2 colours :victory:

You must flash Rio's Kitkat OR Stock kitkat with spflash tools before trying my ROM, then you must flash CTR recovery attached below using sptools

RIO'S KITKAT- Flash with sptools

STOCK KITKAT- Flash with sptools(replace recovery with the one attached below)


INSTRUCTIONS TO FLASH CTR-
1.Download recovery.img from below, replace the recovery in KK SP files with this one
2.In sptools, select scatter file, then untick everything below except recovery
3.Click downlaod
4.Now you have sucessfully updated your recovery :fingers-crossed:


ROM FEATURES-
1.Based on mmx KK, so it's bugfree
2.Removed useless apps(mmx) and gmail/G+
3.Rooting is optional, flash root.zip after rom
4.Adfree hosts, no apps will show ads
5.Build.prop tweaks, same as epic rom
6.Titanium and file managers are running perfectly
7.Init.d tweaks, vaccuming and zipalign on every boot
8.Nova prime as default launcher app
9.Much lighter and cleaner than stock, 200mb only :victory:


INSTRUCTION TO FLASH ROM-
1.You must have installed stock KK/RIO KK and CTR, as I said above
2.If you are already on stock/RIO KK, just flash CTR
3.If you have already flashed CTR then only proceed
4.Place ROM in your sdcard
5.Wipe data/factory reset
6.Wipe dalvik cache
7.Flash ROM from sdcard
8.Flash root zip attached below
9.Reboot and enjoy

Thanks umangleekha for ur previous advice. Please help to use viper for our mobile. It says busy box not installed even when its installed during driver installation. Also provide flashable zip to get default signal icons in status bar.

Install rootgenious on your pc, connect phone and root it using root genious then viper will work, rooting is very difficult on KK

I am still using epic v1.2 rom and i must say its the best rom ever
But after seeing all the kitkat fuss going around i am a bit inclined to see what this new rom has to offer.
so can the users who have previously used epic rom but now have shifted to cleankat tell me if i should make this leap or not?
And how is the battery life in this rom,is there any noticeable difference?
And most important of all CAN I REVERT BACK TO EPIC OR STOCK JELLYBEAN ROM AFTER FLASHING THIS?
