help...i was porting lewa from amoi n820 to my devise lava iris 455 but i m stuck on home button not working problem.
i tried copying whole usr folder of stock to lewa rom but that also doesnt work....
any help..

Do this in your ported rom

Open this file - mtk-kpd.kl - which is in folder system\usr\keylayout, using notepad++
you will see a line like this "key 102 HOME" press tab 3 times after HOME (to line up with second column) and write WAKE.
Save, exit, zip and flash, pressing home button will wake the phone.

ROM port for my MTK6577 device

Hi,

once I bought a phone with these specs:

• MT6577 x2 1GHz
• PowerVR SGX 531
• Kernel compiled on 'rooter-pc' workstation by user: rooter ( build: eng.rooter.1372988609 )
• CPU Identifier output: HDC I9500 (Galaxy S4 layout)
• CPU Identifier benchmark result: 10235 (for 2 cores 20470, 2D graphics 8641)
• Somewhere it said "CNANZHI"
• Indicated Android version: 4.2.2
• Indicated baseband version: UNIVERSAL5410
• Indicated kernel version: 3.4.5-526212 [email protected] #1 Wed Apr 24 20:59:59 KST 2013
• Indicated build version: JDQ39.I9500XXUAMDL

I tried to get some infos with this post:

but it seems that this MTK-phone is not one of the popular ones...

As I could not find any other ROM for this phone I like to port one on my own.
I know through board-search that @technut tried that before but sadly he had to give up.

Which base-ROM would you suggest as a starting point in this case as I like to try?

i'm tried to port jb 4.2.2 to my Lenovo A1000 because lenovo not updating this tablet ..
it BOOT successfully, but i got serious problem. the touchscreen axes Inverted. i used OTG to connect mouse to use my touchscreen and i found sd card failed to mounting. Please Help me :crying:

You could upload your Rom, so people can compare to theirs.

At least post build.prop.

Btw 5mpx camera? Which sensors? Use droid Info from market.

Increasing /system space in MTK 6577

Folks

Can anyone share a simple guide as to how we can increase /system space - not internal storage space - in MTK 6577 based phone. I have been searching for this , have browsed through all the existing guides but not able to get a fix on this.

EDIT - Sorted out. Successfully increased the /system space. If any one is interested please go through the entire thread here and also visit the links recommended by the respondents

WIFI problem (port)

can someone help me out? I have ported a L themed rom to my phone and managed to fix all bugs except for the wifi. It says turning on but never does. PLs help

well i have also gone through this problem recently.
but i managed to get out of it.
for this i want to know how u ported the rom.
if u ported with kitchen then u can sole the problem by
1 .go to legacy option
2.now go to 22.option that is add wireless tethering
3. then chose n
4.then enter
and its done :highfive:
if u got any problem then u can contact me
