Hy,

Sorry if this was asked before, but i did not had the patience to read al 24 pages.

Whit this rom i cannot mount the SD card. Everytime i try i get the message " Safe to remove SD card" in the notification panel. Strange it is that i can acces some media from it (like mp3`s). But the most big issue that no navy app works beacuase of it (for example sigyc says it cannot acces the sd card, waze freezes with a white screen....)
Does anyone experienced this? and there is a sollution to this?

Best regards !
Did you wipe data/cache several times after installing ?

I am constantly having a parsing problem while installing. How can I install it?

Gesendet von meinem SM-G935F mit Tapatalk
Uninstall previous version(s), if any.

I have not tested it under KK, only under Lollipop, Marshmallow, and Nougat. But if it's an issue under KK, I will rebuild it, asap.

I have released v2.8 (same place), built for minSdk 17, please see if it works under KK.

I am going to check it out myself on my HU with KK, to put the issue at rest. -- Yes, v2.18 is mandatory for KK!
On this occasion I have also noticed that the OEM partition seems not visible under KK, I will look into it as well. New firmware is on its way... done.
(I couldn't check the OEM partition after the firmware update, I have already reverted to LP on my HU; should be OK)

mtcxp-4.1.apk

ttxp-2.8.apk

-- See the updated versions in post #265 --

These are the most up to date xposed modules, built with identical compatibility, and good for either KK or LP.
They are merely pre-installed under KK, so update won't be an issue whatsoever.
In the LP firmware, mtcxp, mandatory, is still v4.0, but upgrade is also possible, although not needed.

I remind here that mtcxp is needed under KK as well, because it sets parameter config_voice_capable to true, making the phone icons in the True Contacts app clickable, under both KK and LP.

Its a little faster, but for speed youre best off with @Johny DJ's microG version of @dsa8310's ROM.

@dsa8310 cant tell you how fast his ROM will be on your unit anyway - he has 2Gb RAM and its the fact that yours only has 1Gb that makes it lag.

As per OP's rules, I don't entertain dialogues with "ungrateful" users. :)

Furthermore, one should not disparage one's work in one's thread! If you must draw comparisons, go praise one's work in the respective thread... it's more polite.

Same "error" happens in the LP thread as well...

Hmm, is that a reference to my last comments I wonder ? For the record, @Johny DJ's ROM is simply your ROM with a few mods to make it faster, including using microG instead of Gapps, so any praise for his also applies to yours as his is based on yours and of course most devices only have 1Gb of RAM, slowing them down, this is not your fault as you did not make the devices.

Having said that, someone asked about speed, so I gave an honest answer, plus also on xda you are allowed to criticise.

Of course the "OP's rules" cannot and do not over ride xda's rules.

Any chance of instructions for installing ttgo updated to latest FW in OP but still cannot get it to run:)
  • Make sure that both mtcxp-4.2 & ttxp-2.8 are installed, enabled in the xposed installer app, the xposed framework installed, HU rebooted.
  • Uninstall previous TT GO apps, if any.
  • Start ttxp-2.8 at least once, then leave it but not before writing down the value of ro.serialno (first) parameter, just in case. Select other ttxp parameters, optionally.
  • Install the official TT GO app from play store, thanks to mtcxp-4.2, now it will be available (let me know if not, because I checked it out under LP only).
  • If you want to use an external storage for TT GO maps (say, because you need a big map and you have the 8 GB HU model), make there a folder called com.tomtom.gplay.navapp (bury it as deep as you want) and inside it some dummy file, say foobar (e.g. /mnt/external_sd/tomtom/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp/foobar). Shortly/automatically it will become bound mounted to the proper place, for TT GO's use, thanks to script /etc/install-recovery.sh.
  • Start TT GO for the first time, follow steps, download maps and voices, use it normally.
On a regular Android device (modern phone), you need only the xposed framework and the ttxp-2.8 module enabled, and some of its parameters checked out, if interested in its provided extra support for TT GO.

The ro.serialno story is simple: once run, TT GO expects the same value of it, in order to allow map/voice downloading/updating over internet. If ttxp is ever uninstalled instead of just upgraded, the value is randomly regenerated, and so you have to restore it by editing with ttxp (or reinstall TT GO, which you do not want it, because the maps must be downloaded again).
It does not matter but for the HU, the rest of Android devices have a good value that is merely preserved by ttxp (albeit editable at will on any device).

Thanks for the detailed response but it didnt work message reads TT cannot connect to tomtom try again later
Oh, you make me switch to KK again... Yes, it's an xposed issue under KK that left parameter ro.serialno unchanged, hence TT GO could not connect.

Good that at least you checked it out. I will fix it, as soon as I figure out what has happened with my ttxp module, again... :)

Yes, thanks.
Anyway I have fixed the Internet access issue, that was the easiest part.
However, the KK xposed seems inadequate for the extra params, even WiFi does not work. Some classes are "seen", others aren't. It's a backward compatibility issue, same code that works under LP, MM, N, does not work under KK. I have simplified further the spoofing on this occasion, but it's like a labyrinth solving problem: so far I hit dead ends, classes not found by KK xposed, while perfectly accessible on my Nougat phone.
I might miss some KK specific technique, hopefully...
