Sure, that was my first idea of a workaround... use LP. But I am not done yet.

I have some good news.
I fixed the ro.serialno parameter issue, so enabling internet access under KK.
Spoofing works, too, albeit under KK there will be, in the main menu screen, the annoying upgrade invitation displayed.
Unfortunately, I cannot fix the WiFi parameter (the one that allows downloading seamlessly over non wifi networks), which will not work under KK; it was mainly for my use, but I use LP anyway, where all works as expected.
Under LP, MM, N, all works fully, pending some testing during navigation.

These two xposed modules will work on all devices, including under KitKat.
Spoofing is more elegant, so fighting the KK xposed framework limitations was worth it.

Well, it's not a problem for 2GB units, like mine. MicroG is faster, but not 100% compatible, at least at the time I built the respective firmware.
So, go back to KK, thanks to your feedback I have released, in the post above, a far better set of modules, recommendable for both LP & KK.
Should I use the kk in your OP and then update the two files ?
Actually, if already back at KK, just upgrade the two apps.
Then, at your convenience, make also a full firmware update -- nota bene, without clear all (you would not want to redo configuration) -- just to have everything in place, but otherwise it does not matter. In any case, the app update should be done by hand, only a firmware installation with clear all (or a wipe all data/cache) would trigger the automatic installation of the two apps as well.

Sure, take your time. Besides, I have checked it out myself, it will work well. Take care to use both mtcxp-4.3 & ttgo-3.0 under KK on the HU, because mtcxp, among others, makes TT GO downloadable from Play Store on HU (it's not needed on normal Android devices though).

All installed and everything works really well including ttgo, its snappy fast and functional, many thanks for your help. Any chance you can upload the your bootlogo (or a kk one!)
Take a look at post #458, there was place left for further improvement, ttxp v3.1 is now the recommended app.
The car logo boot animation, preceded briefly by my logo, becomes visible in the Settings/Factory Settings (password 126), the CAR LOGO menu, change the Logo Type, should be different from LOGO Animation one, under KK (LP differs).

Did a good road test today and all works without problem so i am reluctant to do the ttxp update, what benefit will I get? and will I need to uninstall and reinstall ttgo?
No, not at all. Just upgrade the ttxp app to v3.1, leave firmware and TT GO untouched.
It is better because two leftovers were removed from my code, hooks of methods that nobody calls any more.
