thanks. I know about that, did it already before (had the microg version instead) but dunno why the status bar doesnt appear... all the xposed modules are activated, and tried deactivating them, rebooting, and activating them again and rebooting, but no luck... I guess i'll have to reinstall again :S hopefully a dirty flash, as I don't want to re-install all my apps! thanks again!
Did you copy the configuration files to your GPS card and configure them?

I did copy the folders to the external root of the sd card, but I didn't configure anything, as I didn't do it last time I installed this rom (status bar was present from beginning) so what would be the option to configure in order to have the status bar visible, if you know it and it's not much to ask? cheers mate

You shouldnt need to copy anything anywhere, it should just boot normally with a status bar.

I did get no status bar once, but I cant remember how I got around it, did you wipe data and cache ?

Someone mentioned that the statusbar is hidden for certain model, I think it was anyone that does not have an RK3188?

If you need it, below is how I have configured my statusbar:

status_bar.ini:
Code:
[hide]

# Hide StatusBar
status_bar=false

# Hide Home icon
home=false

# Hide App icon
app=false

# Hide Screenshot icon
screenshot=true

# Hide Back icon
back=false

# Hide Volume panel
volume=false

# Hide Eject DVD icon
eject=true

# Hide screen brightness icon
screenbrightness=false

# Hide Power icon
syslock=true

# Hide screensaver icon
deskclock=false

# Hide name of running program
notification_lights_out=false

# Hide icons running services
notificationIcons=false

# Hide system icons (eg WiFi, GPS, 3G and other)
system_icon_area=false

On the status line: you need to activate the mtcxp xposed module from the DSA. If not activated, the lines do not appear. The author has a comment about this, but you do not pay attention at once.
Help activate live wallpapers, I understand, the author cut them out of his firmware. But very much needed KLWP - without them does not work!
I also found out that ini files are attached to the firmware (some) in ANSI encoding, but should be in UTF-8. If you do not translate, the modules may not work!

Hi all,

i have the same issue as well, i wiped all data even twice, i installed the OpenGapp image twice, did the "MTCB MCU USERS- DSA's mtcxp xposed module has to be enabled before the status bar will show." and have copied the folder with the subfolder with the ini file to the GPS SD card. I even doublechecked the coding of the file that it is UTF-8.

I can still not see the Statusbar. I just have a black bar withnothing in it over the launcher.
I havent checked out the microGapp version of the image, is anyone expecting differences?

Thanks for your support.

There shouldnt be a difference in the status bar between the Gapps and microG version, as I said I has a similar problem but only once, I just cant remember what it was I did to sort it.

I ll try and think.

Hi guys. Have any of yous one of those bluetooth media buttons? Like to control the radio/music player from steering wheel without having to take ur hand to the head unit? I ha e 2 different ones, but can't connect them. Tried changing pairing password from 0000 to 1234, but nothing... The unit sees the bluetooth device, but can't connect to it :( i will try later changing the bluetooth settings from factory settings and see if that works... With my phone for example, co nects perfectly. Cheers!

These units can only use BT for phone or OBD.

Oh man, that's crap! I was looking for a way of skipping songs on the music player or get volume up/down without having to touch the screen, as I do t ha e steering wheel controls. I guess I'll have to stick with my fingers. Thanks!

With the BMW E46 steering wheel controls it is working right away. Also switching between Radio and BT is possible. The only thing that is not working is to start the song, this needs a touch on the screen

The microG app version is working now right away, the same way i tried to use the open G app version. Anyhow, nice system, good work.

You can buy steering wheel mounted devices that use the built in SWC - you attach an infrared receiver to the key 1 and key 2 wires.

BT is pants for audio anyway - the quality its rubbish and even if it wasnt - you only get next, previous and play/pause so youd have to press next a ridiculous amount of times - if you had even a library of only 50 songs and you want to go from say track 2 to track 47 thats 45 presses of "next" lol.

Why dont use us other means of playing music ?

Im running this on my joying 1024x600 unit. So far so good. The only thing i cant seem to understand is why you can not update Maps or preinstalled google apps, or #supersu. If i try to update apps through play store it will pop up an error 505 msg. Google play services also request update but after download it wont install, same error 505 msg. So, ive been running preinstalled GOOGLE MAPS. No error msg if i leave evetything alone without trying to update to newest version.

What could it be?

Its ne MicroG Version, if u update Google Maps he is asking everytime to update google play services and i try to update the google play services because of the notification u get an error at the installation.
