Has anyone encountered bluetooth issues? My phone can connect to the unit and make calls, but the app on the unit does not see any devices, cannot search for devices and even when connected to my phone it does not see it and cannot search phone list etc, the only thing that works is calls go through the car speakers, but the unit does not see the phone or any other devices.
The only Bluetooth that work is the WQ_BC5, can it be an issue with the bluetooth manager.apk and that specific module?

I have android One on my Nokia 6.1 and it's a good OS.
But 1GB RAM is short for Android OS.

Yes, it is, but Android One is optimised for low RAM devices, so with One it should be much better than microG and not keep needing to be updated.

Will this work?? MTCC-KLD6-V3.06 rk3188

Hi I have this HeadUnit:

MCU version:MTCC-KLD6-V3.06 Apr 17 2017 08:51:17
Android version:5.1.1 1024*600
Kernel version:3.0.101+ [email protected] #53 Fri Apr 7 09:54:20 CST 2017
Build number: rk3188-userdebug 08042017.15:05:19

1. Will this work with this ROM??

2. And will the ROM work with a usb 3G modem (3G modem Huawei E3531i-2)??

3. the link in post 382 https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75737105&postcount=382 seems to be broken. Is this the most recent?? https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75943087&postcount=431

4. Do I need to flash the MCU also??

1 & 2 = yes
3 19/03/18 is the most recent, I can provide the earlier March version if you have Dropbox or something.
4 = no.

Thankyou very much. Have just sent a PM:)

On a similar note. The reason I'm trying with a custom ROM is because my HU drops the network connection on the USB modem. Initially I suspected the USB cable, but moving/manipulating the cable does nothing, and si the same on both USB ports. Usually the HU starts up ok, but after some time the 3G USB connection drops, and the statusbar network icon disapears and a SD card icon with an "!" mark appears.

If I shut down the HU and restart, the problem disapears, but then happens again after some time. The problem started after I changed the SIM card in the 3G modem (switched provider). Afterwards I also tried changing the modem, factory reset, Wipe cache + data, but to no avail.

Of course I expect the the new ROM will solve the problem, unless it is hardware related, but does anybody have any ideas or suggestions to what the underlying problem with the 3G network connection dropping might be????:confused:

3G modem dropping connection

My 3G usb modem (Huawei e3531) drops the internet connection every 10-30 minutes or so.:confused: A reboot fixes it. So does unplugging and repluging it. It does not seem to be a loose connection. Does anybody have any suggestions for a possible fix?

Alternatively:

Can anybody suggest a good alternative 3G USB modem stick?

Does this ROM support 4G/LTE USB modems? If so can anybody suggest any specific devices, that is known to work with this ROM?

PS: I have had this stick working with an other SIM card, but after switching network provider, the above problem happens.:confused:

3G USB modem dropping connection

Ok I have a bit more info regarding the 3G modem. If I connect it to a PC, it seems to work fine, although the speed is rather low. The connection is stable though.

So if it works on a pc, but drops the connection after e few minutes on the HeadUnit and then just stalls trying to reconnect (the conf page 192.168.8.1 is unreachable) what could be the cause? Do these HeadUnits supply to littel power, or what could be the cause??

PS: The connection was fine on the HU with my previous Network provider.

Any ideas are welcome, because I'm almost lost now:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I can only suggest that you search the forums for other threads/posts about dongles - I ve been reading these headunit forums for 4 years + and read many times about problems with modems and solutions, but I cant tell you anything specific cos I ve always tethered so not taken much notice.
