I'm using your 1024 and there is no status bar on my unit. With DSA 1024, I have a status bar.

With your 1024 firmware, I can tell there is a blank area at the top of the screen for the status bar, but without the actual status bar.

Don't know what happend with your flashing because other users didn't report any problems yet...
You can try to disable and restart and then enable all xposed modules if there is a problem maybe.

Here you can replace mtc manager
Rename as original and set permissions 644

Yes, it's odd. I just figured you had removed the status bar from your firmware. I flashed between yours and DSA's open GApps version several times doing a wipe/clear a couple times each time. I'll try reflashing yours one more time and see what I get. I can live without the status bar if I have too.

I didn't removed the status bar from the firmware... everything is there and all icons working and showing.
I will upload updated version today so you can try one more time...
Download:
- FULL version with preinstalled apps
- LITE version with preinstalled apps (needs testing if everything works)

Before I try these, what is the difference between your firmware in the first post, the FULL version above, and the LITE version above?

thanks!

Full version: minimum modification just mainly included preinstalled apps and changed some settings
Lite version: removed aboult 30 mb of bloatware for faster system but not tested yet.

You can try the lite version if everything works first and report me back and after that if you have some issue you can flash full version.
In both versions I used new method of preinstalling apps so I hope everything will preinstall as it should otherwise I will integrate to the app folder.

In both version there is new xposed mtcstatusbar to configure from Malaysk. I added extra folder mtc-statusbar to copy on GPS card.
If you don't enable the module in xposed, icons in statusbar will remain like they are on the begining.
Play with status_bar.ini settings to show or hide the icons in statusbar if you want.

# Show/Hide entire the StatusBar
# true - Hide : false - Show
status_bar=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide Home button
# true - Hide : false - Show
home=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide app
# true - Hide : false - Show
app=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide screenshot button
# true - Hide : false - Show
screenshot=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide Back button
# true - Hide : false - Show
back=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide volume panel
# true - Hide : false - Show
volume=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide eject DVD icon
# true - Hide : false - Show
eject=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide screen brightness icon in statusbar
# true - Hide : false - Show
# screenbrightness=true
#--------------------------------------------------
# Power icon
# true - Hide : false - Show
# syslock=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide screensaver button
# true - Hide : false - Show
# deskclock=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide name of the running program
# true - Hide : false - Show
notification_lights_out=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide icons running services in statusbar
# true - Hide : false - Show
notificationIcons=false
#--------------------------------------------------
# Show/Hide system icons (eg WiFi, GPS, 3G and other)
# true - Hide : false - Show

I figured out the missing status bar. DSAs mtcxp xposed module has to be enabled before the status bar will show on my unit.

Probably because it spoofs mtcb unit as mtcc. I don't have this problem because I flashed mtcc mcu.
Glad you figured it out...

purchased play store apps?

No matter what I do, my previously purchased play store apps do not show that I have purchased them and are OK to install again. They want me to pay for them again when installing from the head unit. I can go to my PC and push them to the head unit running MicroG, but was wondering what I'm doing wrong. How can I get my previous purchased apps to show in the play store on the head unit as being already purchased and OK to install?

I've cleared the play store data and cache, tried all the different settings in the MicroG settings app, etc. I've even reflashed the firmware. I can set up my account and get the store to work with MicroG. It's just the previous purchases show up as not previously purchased.

Again, I can push the apps to the head unit from my laptop and they work fine on MicroG. Also free apps install just from on the head unit.

Any ideas?

Just try to update the playstore to the latest and you will see your paid apps or just restart the hu and try again.
I had the same problem but I just restarted the hu but was the same with open gaps or micro g.

I tested the lite version and it worked OK, but MTCScreenClock would not work. I reverted back to the firmware in post #1 and all is well.

Mtcscreenclock was the only thing that did not work for me in the lite version.

Strange loud crackling/poping noise?

Hey guys,

I've flashed this ROM on my MTCC hu and it is working incredibly well. However sometimes I get strange loud crackling noise from the speakers. Especially if the processor is under load.

I never got it on the stock ROM. I wonder if it an app or a setting somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas I can try?

Just wait, today comes new version (LITE) its for more than 10% faster that original one :)
For sound cracking you can try to unninstall sound mod from xposed and sound mod app from system/app and restart.
Thats only if you don't have sound mod done to your unit.

Edit: A bit of delay because I have to test all the things I implemented.
