MTCC-KLD5 MCU to MTCC-KLD6 MCU - Compatible?

I upgraded the MTU on my KLD unit to MTCC-KLD5-V2.97 over a year ago. I notice that there is a newer KLD MTU labelled MTCC-KLD6-V3.06.

Is the KLD6 upgrade compatible for a unit currently on KLD5?

Is it worth it?
