I have this one, I mean a .img file, you posted a reduced image some post before.
Replace SOM with PX6. Can't tell what BT you have, either get from factory settings or dmesgI have installed a car head unit years ago.
I want to know if I can upgrade the firmware/software on it to a more recent android?
I do want the Bluetooth and wifi work, so it sounds like the android 10 doesn't work. How about 11? or 9?
The information of the device :
MCU version: MTCD_KGL_V1.92a_1 Oct 13 2016 10:49:02
Android version: 5.1.1
Kernel version: 3.0.101+
Wed Oct 19 18:09:54 CST 2016
A-MEDIA AUTO (1024x600W)
ARM Cortex-A9 @1.6GHz (x4)
Md725 is not supported on A11 (and I think A10 as well) so...even if you in est on px6 som....you will have to upgrade as well the wifi/BT module
@ikerg any thoughts on this? Much appreciated your reply.Hi guys,
I've been reading this thread for past day or so, trying different methods to resolve my issue. I purchased a Dasaita VIVID PX6 head unit device couple of weeks ago, they informed me that the unit is out of stock and sent me MAX device instead and then upgrade it to VIVID myself.
I upgraded the head unit via USB stick but apparently I flashed VIVID (Android 10) OTA while I was unaware they sent me a MAX (Android 11) device until after I flashed the update. My issue now is stuck on Subaru logo. The RST button is not doing anything for me while I tried the sd card method.
I'm hoping someone can assist on what proper image file or update files I should try. I have 2 8gb sd cards and USB-A to USB-A cable available.
Thank you in advanced.
it could be....anyway....here you are a reduced image for Android11 upgrade;Hi,
Also, some units, at least the JY I have, the USB hardware doesn't support it - the factory leaves out components that are required to enable switching/OTG support - probably to reduce cost.
Perhaps the newer HA units support OTG and I know GS units that I have seen, also support OTG out of the box.
In any case, making your own jig is simple enough with basic electronic skills. Also, the SOM must be removed if maskrom is needed.
