guys ive been searching the forum but unable to find what im looking for, the other day i visited the forum and found a battery pack which attaches to the back of the phone, same size and had three blue leds on the back on the bottom...i cannot seem to find it now so if anyone cna please direct me to the right direction...i am in contemplation between the two i.e. battery pack or a mugen battery. The reason why i am looking for the specific battery pack is so that i can carry it around with me as i travel on public transport and very rarely carry a bag with me to uni or when i go out.

would you mind explaining how the battery pack actually works? Im waiting for my student finance to come through so i can invest into either a new battery or a battery pack
Sure, it has basically the same dimensions as the DHD, but is just a battery. It charges via its mini-usb port - this cable is then plugged into a PC's usb port, or into the wall. It takes a while to fill up (6? hours) via the PC, which has a lower output than a wall charger).

Here it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Trent-D...1OK4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317999026&sr=8-1

To use it, you just plug in a usb cable into the battery pack, and with the micro-usb at the other end, you put that into the phone.

Earlier versions ran down independently of if they were plugged into a phone or not, but the latest one I bought only loses power when the phone is pulling it. The phone reacts as if it's on charge (which it is). So it will be kept at 100% (or charged to 100%) whilst there is still charge in the battery pack, then the phone battery will run down as normal.

This battery pack has 2 usb outputs, so you could charge 2 phones, or a phone and an iPod etc.

There are battery packs which go up to 11000mah! All on Amazon.

I've been using the 1500 mugen battery for about 2 weeks now, high use (47% screen on) gives me 15 hours up time and normal / moderate use is about 24 hours up time, low use 30+ hours.

Duncan
Well I've got 30+ hours of low use, when I flashed Revolution HD ROM (may be even 2 days, didn't measure specially).
Didn't actually measured heavy use... But in normal usage ~24 hours also is piece of cake...
Costs no money, but some free time to root/flash/restore apps... Perfect guides can be found here at XDA...

P.S.: Tried only Revolution HD 6.x and Cyanogen 7x... "Didn't like" CM, cause Sense has better usability 4me than stock interface... Staying RHD fan at this time :) But I guess CM can get great battery usage time also!!! And also 4free :)

P.P.S.: I also avoid buying such add-ons with doubtful value... So should everyone, because after reading >30 pages about this high capacity batteries, it's still unclear if they work well for everybody or it is just a self-calming posts about "increased time"...

PPPPPPPS: Aaand I've heard that disabling htcSense.com account is really helping to get more juice :D

Anyone can test Mugen Battery in "Antutu tester" ?
I can't give you link on it because i'm new member here, but you could download it in android market for free.

i need it for compare with my' Andida Battery (1800 Mah) and Stock battery(1230).

I measured with this parameters
1.3 Ghz CPU - Voltage 1.050
About Screen and Wifi/BT - program used self parameters (in my case program set screen - max, wifi - on, bt- off)
Antutu tester - default test battery

I got score 381 :( for Andida and 425 for Stock

Start test with full 100%
I part - left 73% (both battery)
II part - left 46% (both battery)
III part - left 19% (both)

Strange test...same value for different batter
but different score

Test time around 3h

Tnx for help

Edit:

I bought it directly from Mugen including their facebook discount.
Let's hope it doesn't take a month to arrive.

Is there any chance to buy this battery?
On mugenbatteries.com its out of stock.

All I see is overpriced like 60 US Dollars.

I live in Europe.

Bought one last week with the same discount, I recall it said it would be back in stock mid-Feb, then add 2 weeks for postage Asia to Europe. So should be here by the end of the month.

It was priced at €35, came down to €32.50? with the "facebookspecial" discount

So, after a month :D I finally received my Mugen battery.

I ran several complete charge and discharge cycles and Battery Monitor Widget Pro is measuring 1526 mAh.

I am happy with this result :)
