This is the same rom as the Xiaomi.eu? Because I have none of this new features on the latest 8.11.29 beta rom from Xiaomi.eu.

Yes, there is official global beta and official china beta, both from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi.eu is unofficial ROM (custom ROM) based on xiaomi china beta.

Would the OP please just remove the 'GLOBAL' out of the title of this thread, Put like "Multi-REGION" or something.... Too many users are confused. There was a reason the .EU folks didn't call it global. Official Xiaomi Global is not a CHINA source base. The Multi-Region .EU ROM is custom built by external developers based on CHINA source code. The don't play well over the top of each-other.

Hi, do I need to format data if I update from an .eu rom to a newer one, or it's only necessary if I came from another ROM (global stable, Lineage,...)? Hate to copy data (music, book, etc) every time I update.

Tried to flash Global Dev Rom 8.12.13 for Mi 8 via Local Updater from Global Stable 10.1.1. It successfully updated and wiped out the data but now it's asking for a PIN/Password that I never set. I was able to activate Mi Account as I know the password, but it kept asking for another PIN. Tried to Wipe the data multiple times but this does not resolve the issue. Any suggestions?

Screen unlock pin? You can go into TWRP and just delete the key and password files.
