I thought so damn although I did notice a recovery boot file in the system folder no idea if there's an actual recovery but I don't think I can access it anyway. If only sony provided us with a stock recovery like other OEMs. Seeing this feature on the Z4T I'm sure will be great. Yes, if only. Maybe this fresh MM ROM has some vulnerability that can be exploited to gain root. But knowing Sony’s extensive, custom countermeasures, I think chances are very slim.
