if you change the com.sec.feature.multiwindow.tablet.xml to com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml mentioned earlier in the thread and on the 6200 thread you can have the snap to fit windows, but you lose floating windows.

there's actually a way to have both WITHOUT doing that...u just have to find the right dpi for you device. I'm using my P6200 in combo mode with tab ui right now...i would try 176(the lowest that worked for me...well 134 works without the movable bar in split mode) in tablet ui or 190(again the lowest that worked for me) in phablet ui. The default 213 SHOULD work but i'm not sure...the ability to use both is best to me so i wish one of u guys would play with dpi and find the setting to at last see how u like it

Warning: By doing the following step, it might potentially cause your system malfunction and I will not hold any responsibility of your data lost. Please do it cautioinly!!!

You need have file manager like Root Explorer and browse to /System. The build.prop will be in this folder and you will hold on this file and request to "Open in Text Editor". Make the necessary changes and then Save changes and Exit.

If you got the warning about the system is read-only, you had to turn your folder to R/W mod by click the "Mount R/W" top after the title of the app. Then try again.

Thanks for the detail...I've tried click "mount r/w", but nothing happen..keep saying the system is read only...or I need to setting a thing? sorry for poor english..

Yes, u have to be deodexed to flash this mod but u will also need to be rooted in order to "mount r/w" and edit the build prop...the easiest/quickest way is to use the "framaroot" app that i've attached below which is only takes one-click & 2 seconds tops to root. All u have to do is open the app, click "Aragorn", then reboot and your done...after that u will be asked to give root explorer superuser permission and will be able to mount and change the file

awesome but now i'm a bit jealous because i bet your notification panel shows correctly (my clock is cut off) due to that nice screen...lol. I knew it would work...i just had to find a way to explain it that made it make sense now i wonder how low can u go with the dpi, hmmm...but i have a serious question, is your tab naturally in tablet mode or do u guys have to use xposed?

I've root, fix permission, but only in system cannot mount as r/w....its still say "you cannot edit this files because the file system is reads only"..I click at mount r/w, but its not change...

I cant download from this source...because I download from this tab...I dont have a pc...you have another sourced?sorry for poor english

Mine is how it was when i originally flashed your mod so i dont understand why it is now fully working. I'm on erobot v1 which is tablet mode and a dpi of 160.

I preffer floating windows but I'll try 176 dpi to get both. :good:

this is NOT true(unless the mod doesn't work at all in stock)...all of these things have been fixed but u must swap certain apps with the note 8 version and/or install the xposed framework. Once again...i advise that u guys PLEASE read my original post in the Tab Plus section and go back through this one as well(its only 10 pages). I'm still waiting on someone to provide me a complete list of what needs to be replaced so i can put everything in one zip...so far we have taken care of the dialer/contacts, splanner, settings, & media storage

edit:first things first...is anyone using the stock deodexed zip i created & can confirm that everything is ok so that i can create a thread for it in development?

Im install music hub for note 8 that you provided for download to fix when select ringtone and got fc. After put to system/app or direc installed still got fc, hope you will fix in next verstion thanks

that was not the fix i was just guessing what was wrong since nobody ever said what app was causing the problem...u can try to clear the data & cache of "media storage" & "download/downloads" under applications manager but we havent found a solid solution yet because i havent had much feedback(you're the first to report even trying the media hub) i dont own a P6800 and i'm not having the issue with my P6200 which is probably a clue...i'll upload my "media storage" & "secsettings" if someone wants to try replacing those

finally, this mod came to our tab. but i got some issue after flashing this mod. i cannot change the ringtone. i got some FC on that. can somebody please help me?

Yes confirmed. FC occurred when u try to change ringtone by selecting the ‘media’ button to choose the sound file.

i dont know if u figured it out yet but this issue SHOULD be fixed now...replace your "SecMediaProvider.apk" with the one in the above post. Once we get a complete list of all bad apps i'll put them together in a V2 zip...i'm also working on getting the minimize function working (but no promises)

In the build.prop there are two ro.sf.lcd_density= entries my 1st is set to 160 and my 2nd is set to 180. This has given me floating and snap to multiwindow but I still have a screen dpi of 160 (as far as I can tell!)

Edit: changed the 2nd entry to 160 and the dpi has lowered a bit more and still have both multi window functions.
