Music Player lumps all songs together, no way to sort by album?

I can't find a way to organize songs by album on Samsung's (?) Music Player. Google's player ("Play Music") can do this no problem. Am I missing something?

Not sure what version GS3 you have. The Music Player on my verizon version has tabs at the top for songs artist album playlists etc.

Try sorting by folder. I usually have each album in separate folders

It seems the problem is that launching the app through the widget displays less options than launching it through the app list or a direct shortcut. If I launch through the app list I get the tabs selected in the settings menu (folders, albums, etc.). IThe only tab I have if I open through the widget is "All tracks". Why wouldn't it just launch the app proper? X_X
