HI,

I have a Galaxy S23 Ultra and i have very laggy videos on mxplayer with HW+ encoder.

When i change it to HW it works better but i can't increase the volume more than 15, it works only with HW+.

With my old S20+ it work without problem.

Is there anything i can do to make it work ?

Got similar problem with Pixel 7 Pro.
I play videos on 2.5 speed. HW decoder is unplayable on that speed,
with hw+ the audio and video goes out of sync.

Same issues, seems that sometimes the frames are going slower than normal... Probably not laggy, but not fluid neither.

The maximum achievable speed depends on the hardware. So, this may vary from device to device.

For example, if your device is capable of decoding 1080p HEVC videos at 60fps, you can enjoy seamless playback of HEVC 1080p / 30fps videos at a maximum speed of 2x. Anything beyond that may result in such issues as the decoder built into the hardware/system may not be able to decode the frames at the required rate.

I hope this clarifies your questions.

Well, I doubt that a Samsung S23 Ultra (with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) cannot decode a H264 1080P@6030fps video without stutter!
The same file plays perfectly on my previous Galaxy Note 9 in HW+ with the same version of MX Player.

Sounds like a software issue, to me.
The OP is saying the same and I can reproduce it... too bad that MX Player cannot handle it.

we are talking about fluid playback at 1x speed, which even my new Fold 5 (also Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2) doesn't deliver with HW+ codec.

Actually I already shared the bug report about three months ago, but I didn't get any answer apart from the automated one. It was the support ticket #MX-2387830.

I've prepared a test video with the same characteristics of one of the video that had the issues (a 1920x1080, 23.976 fps, AVC/H.264 video, nothing special), you can download it from here:

Maybe @小林 卍 could do the same test on his/her device.

I tested it in MX Player Pro v1.68.4 both via streaming it from SMB and locally on the device. It's the same! When using HW+ sometimes the video stutters and if you notice the red dots flying to the right part of the video they are not fluid. Sometimes also the frame counter stutters, but it's more sporadic and difficult to replicate.

The same file played with MX Player Pro with HW+ on an old Galaxy Note 9 plays perfectly.

along with a video recording
I've tried to record a video of the screen but it is seems like the problem is not visible during the video recording... so I didn't send it to you.

Anyway I sent you the bug report with id #MX-2428390.
