No, not yet.Have you tried using the custom codec from the codecs thread?
Ok, the custom codec works for me on mxplayer 1.9.6... But why was the support dropped? No, not yet.
Actually, for years I have just been using MX Player without any problems and without knowing about any custom codecs.
All my files has been standard mpeg2, mpeg4 or h264 stuff so nothing custom about them at all.
All these including mpeg2 have been working fine for years now.
So maybe I will need to look in to those.
can you collect a bug report & share with us?found it an select the custom codec
There is an other strange thing mpeg2 is in software mode not hardware decoding???
if I select hw+ audio codecs there is audio but its stuttering
The old version (1.9.3) also decodes in software mode.
Get Custom Codec Pack v1.9.8 from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/mx-player-custom-codec-dts-support-t2156254So is this really the way things work with MX Player Pro from now on?
I must use custom codec to watch mpeg2 decoded videos and for every new update of MX Player I will need to get new custom codec?
I updated the MX Player Pro yesterday to 1.9.8 (I think it was 1.9.5) and now the custom codec (1.9.0) that I have won’t work with it.
Read two posts above yours. Custom codec pack adds that functionality and more.I won't be using this app anymore. I need mpeg2. Period.
No reason to have this app without it.
No time to root my android tablet or play little games with codecs.
It used to to a good job, now it is just a vegetable.
Even with the custom codec I am still having compatibility issues that I never had before this change with MPEG2 files - audio pauses and subsequent desync, anybody else showing similar?Read two posts above yours. Custom codec pack adds that functionality and more.
