my atrix not connecting to 3g data

HI i have a problem, my atrix not show 3g or H on Cosmote sim from Romania. I made all the settings. The sim works on other phone, is connecting on internet with H without problem. But the sim in this phone not showing 3g icon or H. Appear 1 sec and disappear. With other sim 3g working but not all the time. In the past month i change 3 phones, all with android. Samsung galaxy s2 with cosmote show the icon but not connecting, and with other works. Htc evo 3d work with all sims. In my opinion clear is not problem with the sims, is problem with the soft of the phones. Htc i think is the best phones ever. I see more atrix phones is briked because more guys downgrade the soft. Can you help me? what is the problem? I must to change the phone one more times with Htc? And i found another problem: all the program show me 380 m of ram but i know this phone have 1 g of ram. Why?

I have a similar problem in that I did a factory hard reset + data wipe reset on my atrix mb860 ( with the sim card in it but no microsd card) and now I have no h/3g icon showing at all, but I have "bars" and I can make/take phone calls

I've reset the APN to the same/recommended OPTUS ( Australian) settings , and still have no data connection.

edit : – I just put a telstra sim in , and had same situation – No " H+ " icon – could not check data as that account has no internet access.

please check Data background. Do you hae any app to turn of H+ like APNdroid?

Ok this has laid waste to my entire day -

so in the hope this helps others - cgamberea (OP) if you have *easy battery saver* installed this may be your problem as well, if so here is what I did ---

I had an app *easy battery saver* - which did work wonders for my battery life.

However

I did a hard reset ( with sim but no sd card) with it still installed.

after the hard reset I re set the APN but had ---- settings> about phone > status showing "mobile network state" as disconnected , and no H+ or 3g icon and no access to internet but phone and sms access..

I did another hard reset without the sim and without the sd card and I re set the APN but still had exactly the same problem.

I inserted another sim from another company and still had no 3g or H , but with phone and sms access.-


I trolled for 4 hours and found some people had had problems with this *easy battery saver* - so using wifi I re-installed this app and found that no matter what setting I did , including custom, it would show the data connection grayed out. It would THEN allow me to "green it up" - but as soon as I minimized it , when I called it back up it showed as being disabled again.

NB - in ALL the above situations after the first reset, the settings> Battery & data manager> data delivery screen showed both= background data and data enabled settings as green ticks.

after an hour of more fuzzing around I decided to uninstall *easy battery saver* and THEN do a hard reset with the sim and data sd in .

After this third reset I got my H and 3g back , once I set up the apn again.

It appears that doing a hard reset with *easy battery saver* active on the phone MAY have been the cause of my problem.

this took just on 8 hours of panicking ( not counting 1 hour of fixing up my GF's atrix hotspot connection.

I hope this helps others..

i had this problem when i was using CM7, i changed to CM9 and the problem stoped the moment i rebooted the phone

im not sure if that did the trick or the factory reset
