And another question : do LOS19 have the same problems than PE/PE+ (A12L) (Bluetooth problems)?
EDIT: tested los19 and it seems that the bluetooth problems come from Android 12 itself
EDIT2: tested dotOS 5.2 works good but seems to overheat when fast charging (with ambiant temperature of 25-30°C/77-86°F)

Stable enough to be used as your daily driver.

This rom is not developed nor maintained by me!
Credits: @ponces

Requirements: full stock EMUI 9.1, with stock recovery_ramdisk

Download arm64-ab-11.0-xxxxx
or arm64-ab-vndklite-11.0-xxxxx

Download: Link

Extra tip: try Lawnchair launcher

Install like any other GSI Rom including the Nfc patch.

IMPORTANT! Before booting up the ROM, you will need to perform a factory reset in stock recovery!

Quick and easy way to install GSI & NFC :

1. Extract the ROM .img file from the compressed file.
2. Flash extracted ... .img in fastboot , use command
fastboot flash system (file_name).img
3. In fastboot flash TWRP over eRecovery (!) - guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-anne-9-lineageos-16-0.4151163/post-83603363
4. Run command fastboot reboot , enter TWRP (press and hold Volume Up)
5. In TWRP unmount all except SD Card , Vendor and System (unmount and mount again if needed) and flash NFC patch

6. Go back to the TWRP's main menu, select Reboot > Recovery.
7. Now you can perform factory reset in stock Recovery.
Note: the TWRP will remain instead of eRecovery.

MAGISK ROOT :

(Note: If you don't plan to use TWRP, simply install patched Recovery_ramdisk in fastboot mode. Run command
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk magisk_patched-23.img ).

Install TWRP-9.1
https://mega.nz/#!tkcTlATI!A8UJGPBGtxJbLcUOJoxCGJj5PFZXzCnjbb3OkwqKTP8
over eRecovery (it's necessary on EMUI 9.1 - Guide

( Note: for those who want keep the erecovery as a fail-safe:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-erecovery-with-twrp-installed-on-it.4357127/ )

1. In TWRP flash Mount-fix .zip file
2. Reboot into TWRP
3. Select 'Install Image' and flash
patched recovery_ramdisk
https://mega.nz/file/lp1kHLxJ#htCMaPjSsg_dy0w_jNOft-t_DZRAPwhOvwy_Wr2cjX8
over recovery_ramdisk.
4. Go back , select Reboot > Recovery.
5. Install Magisk manager apk:
https://mega.nz/file/go0m2RiR#M5UTv6FPjWPtDaGPr-u2tpJMCwdf8uwnniZg69LiGfw

(SafetyNet ✅
Contactless payments ✅ with Magisk v23.0 )

ROOT WITH SUPERUSER:

1. In TWRP flash Zip.file
2. Install Phh Superuser apk .(if needed) https://mega.nz/file/A4sWFYxZ#9KMkvKRgzU7oCvgThPFQOpv_wKAnLZcZVWcJ03HDyNE

Not working: VoLTE, LED notification (at least for me)

Hi,
thank you for the amazing instructions. However, my device accidentally booted (successfully) after step 5. When I then returned to eRecovery to perform Factory Reset, my device automatically booted into TWRP.
Also, I was not able to successfully perform step 3 as described in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-anne-9-lineageos-16-0.4151163/post-87217581

Can anyone pls tell me to install costom rom pixel rom without pc using another phone using otg cable pls help me
What you will need:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Android phone rooted with magisk (the phone should have OTG support! )
3. OTG data cable
4. "ADB & fastboot for android NDK" magisk module
5. "TERMUX" app

(I hope I didn't forget anything...).
I tested this method on normal fastboot operations (bootloader unlocking, TWRP...), theoretically it is also possible to install a custom ROM.

Could you please also describe how one can update from one PE12 build to a more recent PE12 build? Is it as easy as wiping Cache & Dalvik, flashing the system.img from the new build (via fastboot or via TWRP), maybe wiping Cache & Dalvik again and then rebooting?

Also, have you tried PE13 yet? I used your instructions from the OP (except I’ve been on PE12 and not on stock EMUI 9.1) but my phone does not boot the flashed system.img, but instead always automatically reboots into recovery or bootloader instead.

UPDATE 2: I tried to update from the latest PE 12.1 build. I only wiped Cache and Dalvik and then flashed the October 4 PE 13 build via fastboot (and wiped cache and dalvik again, eventually). But my Huawei P20 Lite still boots into eRecovery (Huawei Stock Recovery) every time I try to reboot into system. It does not matter whether I try to reboot from bootloader, recovery, eRecovery or from Power Off State. I guess I have to be a little more patient then. :)

UPDATE: Trying this one now. :D

I tried the latest release which reads "Fix boot for some devices" in its changelog, but for me it still boots into recovery. Are you aware of this? :)

Thank you for your effort!

you need to start with stock android 10 if memory serves me right...
Try vndklite version (due to r/w system).
Thank you for the suggestion.
Since I cannot find a stock ROM image anywhere, this means wiping System and then restoring via eRecovery and HiSuite and then updating all the way to A10, right?

p20 lite cannot be upgraded to stock A10
Okay, then it will be rather difficult for me to start PE13 installation with Stock Android 10 being installed. 😅

So, your second suggestion now is valid, i.e., trying the same that I did earlier and described above but with the vndklite variant?!

    Try this way out:
    - Install Chrome Beta from market
    - Type chrome://flags into the app's address bar
    - search flag 'Android SurfaceControl'
    - switch to Disabled
    - Relaunch
    Worked for me on PE_Plus_312.

P.S.: Maybe it also works with other versions of Chrome, I haven't tried.

hello sir , i am using havoc os on my p20 lite . Which rom do u think is lighter and better for daily usage right now?
Hello, there's only subjectively "best" and that's different for everyone. Everyone has different usage patterns and preferences.
All GSI Treble ROMs that are compatible with P20 lite are AOSP based on 'phhusson' sources, so the difference in performance, battery life, etc. is minimal.
The main differences between these ROMs are in the customization options.
In my experience CAOS is faster, crDRom is customization monster, LiR is a perfect balance between battery efficiency, performance and the customization. And, of course, PixelExperience_Plus also got on the podium. As for DotOS - the previous version 5.1.3 was better, imo.
And all ROMs have some common bugs - offline charging, VoLTE, native callrecording etc.. If you like to take pictures, you will be disappointed with the GSI camera...
The only way you'll find the best one for you is by trying them yourself ;).

    Thanks for sharing !
Is there any difference between Lineage and Pixel Experience?
On Pixel Exp. some things work easier and more flexible . And I don't think it's just a placebo ;)
    2
I was recently thinking to switch on that rom because there are no more lineageos updates.
Is there an easy way to backup and restore data from lineage to pixel?
    Try this method
    https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/migrate-custom-rom-migration-tool.4252863/

There are several options, I do not remember exactly, but I think that the best results I had with Flasher & Helper
