What exactly do you mean? All HTC's I have are relatively good in aquiring GPS signal.
My HD7 was ok at GPS signal, but could take a while to get a lock. My Titan seems to be basically instant, so certainly seems a lot better for GPS. Got Navigon running on it and it's brilliant.

My first week with Titan:

Pros:
* excellent GPS - very fast and accurate
* good screen - color reproduction (not as good as AMOLED, but very good as LCD)
* very fast and responsive overall

Cons:
* 50% calls - other party cannot hear me (!!!) despite maximum coverage etc. ---> people are laughing at me because of that terrible bug
* dropped calls
* terrible battery life 12-16 hours with moderate use from 100% to 20%
* poor quality, slow camera
* stupid power button at the top!!!

Result:
trying to return it to the seller today

BEWARE! I was happy user until I noticed first, second, 3rd, 4th... call when other party could not hear me. What a bug...

I don't call neither receive calls too often so overall it's a good mini-tablet with internet connectivity, but not a phone to make and receive voice calls :)

Anyone else having call issues? Expecting mine early next week from Expansys.

I love the look and format of the phone, but, and that's a big but, I am scared to death of buying one and accidentally dropping it and having it shatter, rendering it both inoperable and irreparable. I had an HD2 and loved it, but I dropped it once, at a height of less than one meter and it shattered the glass rendering it inoperable and contacting HTC, inoperable! I paid nearly $1000 for this phone and got less than a years worth out of it. Where on the other hand, I've been using the Samsung Focus since January and I've inadvertently dropped it numerous times in my nearly one year of ownership and the gorilla glass is holding true to it's name. This thing is rock solid.

Hence my being leery of jumping back on the HTC bandwagon. I would love to see a youtube video demonstrating the relativity of it's gorilla glass!

Has anyone experienced dropping the unit and it coming out unscathed?
Yes, have had these worries too with my HD2 and Titan at first. But that's what protective cases or sleeves are for. Waiting for my Titan case. Already have a black rubbery one for my HD2. Dropped my HD2 a couple of times, also from one meter. Case does the job.

That's actually pretty good battery life for a smartphone. A typical smartphone will be somewhere around 10-14 hours out of the box. Once properly optimized and configured, you can usually squeeze a couple more hours out of it.

If you want terrible battery life, you should see my Thunderbolt. 5 hours with moderate use.

Most of your issues just sound like the phone itself is a defective unit. No phone should be dropping calls and/or the mic breaking/disabling during most calls. That definitely sounds fishy.

I'd agree - the issues described sound like a faulty handset. I had problems with a buzzing earpiece, but returned it and got a replacement today, and calls are no longer buzzing but seem very good quality. Not had any of the other issues described, and hopefully the new handset will be the same!

At the end of the day, this is a new model, there will always be teething troubles, but that's why you should be able to return for another handset within 7-10 days.

how durable is the sleep/wake button of the Titan? can it handle the exposure since it's the only button to activate the phone? I came from an iphone so i'm really concerned on this.. my ip4's home button is pretty unresponsive now for most of the time because it's already a year old but i still have the sleep/wake working fine.. and the Titan has only one.

thank you

Yes because of the size of the device it the button for one hand control/managing placed to much on the top of it. It would be better if it will be placed on the side of the device.

No call issues at all, also battery life is much better than expected.
Awesome. Got sent out of town for work so the Titan has been sitting at home for 3 days waiting for me. Upgrading from HTC Surround. Also had a Samsung Focus but broke the screen. Loving Windows Phone.

I can honestly say I love everything about my Titan, had the HD7, changed to the sensation for a month, could not settle with it, sold it and bought the Titan. No regrets.

Launch your phone using the camera button. No need to unlock and one press takes you to the home screen.

has that problem listed above and others
in gaming (like sonic) the lag is unbearable. It's fast in many tasks but when you game or run something intensive, lag ahoy which is a shame...
