Need your help. I just accidently selected radioband USA settings on my htc one m8 in *#*#4636#*#* menu. Now the network on my phone is completely gone. I searched on the internet about this issue and found a solution which was to erase my modemst1 and modemst2 using adb and fastboot. I installed all the htc drivers and minimal adb and fastboot. First i rebooted my phone into fastboot and then gave the command "fastboot erase modemst1" But it says that "failed (remote:not allowed)" and the same thing happened for modemst2. What does this mean? And how it'll allow me? I have tried almost everything now. But it still wont allow me. My phone is rooted. S-off. And bootloader unlocked. Is there anyother way to get my network back? Your help will be really appriciated. Thanks.

Where the heck did you find that? It sounds really dangerous! Mucking around with random adb/fastboot command is not a good idea (especially with s-off). I'd think that RUU back to stock would get your network back, in a much safer manner.

Do I have to be kind, its not my strong suit. LOL just kidding. :D

Please do fastboot getvar all, and post the results (delete IMEI and serial number before posting) so we can see more info about your specific device. And we'll see what we can do.

Not needed (otherwise, I would have asked for it). The statement also is not correct. You have the Verizon version (not international) as indicated by the product ID (m8_wlv).

You can flash the RUU from here (Marshmallow recommended): https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/official-ruu1-55-605-2-t2883845

Hopefully, this will restore your network connectivity.

I just flashed the RUU. Now, the sim is recognized but still there is no network. A pop up appears saying the sim inserted is not of verizon. What should i do now??

Weird. The Verizon M8 is supposed to be network unlocked by default, anyway. And your phone is s-off, which additionally should make it SIM unlocked.

Maybe try another one of the RUUs (like Lollipop)?

I don't remember if you have to downgrade hboot to get back to Lollipop on the Verizon version. If you get an error message (I think it was Error 255?) flashing the Lollipop RUU, then flash the Lollipop hboot.

Yes.

Yes.
Brother, you just saved my life here. The lollipop version worked (It got stuck on the verizon screen first, but reseting it from the bootloader got it to work). The popup of "not the verizon sim" appeared again. But the network was there. Added the APN manually to get the data to work. Now everythings working fine.
Thankyou brother. ???
