a long time Silent Reader

Hi guys,

I am a long time SR in XDA.
Currently my Everest using EOS build 170 (the latest stable build).

And I want to upgrade it to CM11 or OMNI (in bigpart).
But cant download "BigPart Eos 4 boot images" from http://http://https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2506997.

Is there any of you have it?

And here is some of my collection for Everest: http://https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tsgjkfrrsqk3r8u/AADRpSR6VLe7sctIjFB3kSuBa?dl=0

Thx to all developer who has created it.

Forgive me all for my silence...

I am compiling again now. I promise to keep a external hard disk with the backups of the repositories of Lollipop and Marshmallow next time.

By the way, I found that the hw codecs and the camera need an updated kernel. Felipe will help me with the kernel in 1 or 2 weeks, (he is busy now).
The kernel is not 3.0 whatever version, is lower than that, so... Well it is ElementalX, but 2.7. version I think.
I am trying to do it the hard way to see if I can use the TF101 kernel which is 3.0 whatever (I do not think the TF101 kernel works on the Wingray without changes, but...)

I will see if I can do it. I will keep you informed in 8 or 10 hours. I am so excited now to have found the possible solution to hw codecs that tonight is party time with Xoom :D

You don't need the boot images for CM11 or Omni it's already included in the rom.

Have been searching for a working version for the Xoom for many months, this one work quite well. Camera working, youTube app working with vidio but have tried three types of browser but non of them show vidio. The vidio runs and I can hear the sound but cannot see any picture. Whether this has something to do with with the lack of hardware drives I don't know. But thanks anyway for a valiant effort so far.

I am trying to update the kernel to 3 version. Keep you informed.
I think the reason this hasn't happened yet is that there are several hardware components that require proprietary binary blobs that only work on the latest officially released kernel version. So while you can compile and flash a custom kernel of that version, you can't use a later version kernel without the Motorola sources for those additional components (which we don't have). So for years, the task of building the latest ROM for this device has required "backporting" the ROM to work on an older 2.x kernel.

True, but I think there was/is an attempt to use the drivers made for the TF101, which has the exact/very-close hardware as the XOOM.

TWRP 3.0.1 recovery with sdcard support.
CM11 for wingray
Open gapps Kitkat pico version
Supersu.
First off, thanks so much for keeping the work going on this - very excited as my daughter's use my two old XOOMs and they recently started showing very odd behaviour.

The question I have is regarding the "TWRP 3.0.1 recovery with sdcard support." Is this recovery also BIGPART enabled? It seems from the instructions that you flash the earlier versions of TWRP to get the XOOM BIGPART enabled, but I am unsure what the 3.0.1 recover does/adds. Is this simply a newer version of the existing BIGPART recovery? If not, what do I need it for over the 2.6.3.0 RAH version?

Thanks!

The other recovery Schischu built did not show the sdcard contents. It was pointing to the wrong partition.

Just that. Nothing new. It is the same as Schischu's, with sdcard fix.

Stingray roms

Any chance you will be uploading any 3G stingray roms? I've been scouring google looking for Omnirom 4.4.4, 5, or even 6.

Thanks in advance!

This is the forum for the roms I compile for Motorola Xoom.
I have nicknamed these future roms Moto-Rola for personal reasons. xD
I will try to make them faster and put some cute things on them, even if I start with KitKat versions.
As you all know, I am currently using some of Schischu's sources, I am just following his hard work and making it available for everyone.

This first rom is the Cyanogenmod 11 version for Motorola Xoom Wingray you already know.
I will compile next the Everest version, you will have to try it for me if I am able to do it. I do not have the everest version of the Motorola Xoom so...
