my mi ai got accidentally locked. I can't unlock it ..Help me unlock

My phone got locked on its own. I didn't change any locks or settings. Just switched if off and switched it back on and i wasn't able to access my device.
THe phone won't accept my previous password. How can I access my device with the screen lock barring me?

Sorry to say you have to restore it. I had the same problem before.

Take a TWRP backup of your storage and flash stock ROM. Were you on stock ROM or custom ROM?

if u install custom rom, just delete the locksettings.db with TWRP File Manager, i'm also experience accidentally locked devices even correct password given.
