I agree with everything , the phone is great. I have the phone from 5 days and today I saw that the screen is scratched. A little bit ,but is scratched!
My phone stay always alone in the pocket, but one of the days stay with the wallet. The wallet is normal leather one, no buttons or else. So is this the scratch resistant screen of Sony Xperia Z?

Over and over again... The screen is scratch resistant, the factory protection sheet is not!

I'm sorry guys, but I didn't knew. I got really upset about this :(
So there is a film that is scratched?
Is it OK to remove it and to put screen protector from "Krusell" or "Zagg"?
Or is better to put over it?

PS I found this thread just now :)

Why do you waste your time reading and replying a forum about such a mediocre device? Trying to enlightening us, poor people?

Let's be honest here. The touch screen won't work properly when there is water on it and it won't work at all when it's submerged.

When I last tried to use my phone for listening to music in shower water droplets on the screen meant it was almost useless and good luck swiping when a call comes in

. Unfortunately everything about the Z is a compromise, from the flaps, to the speaker not working after being submerged, the screen needing to be bang on straight in front of your face to use it, to having to wait 2 to 3 seconds to use the camera.

I'm worried people will try to send it back to me if I sell it due to the screen.

Oh! Thank you very much! So now we have your opinion and very well supported, I might add.

Please, come visit us more often or we'll miss your perspective on how the world can be wonderful outside Xperia Z.

Tell us really, someone is not letting you have an xperia, right? We can also give you some support, you know? Let it out...

u r right yesterday i went diving (just a meter deep) and i could not send an sms or make a call, why they build a phone like that??? and the camera and the flaps...... :crying:
so if u want to sell that crap let me know i will pay u a 100$ i think thats enough, or:D
seriosly this is the best device (my oppinion) i ever hold in my hand.
i rooted it and flashed a custom rom (android 4.2.2), it rocks and i am sure the devs will solve that little Camera problem sooner or later.

So than what's the advantage of being water proof here ? we cannot touch the screen underwater, we cannot record the videos/image while swimming ( for recording we need to press out of water the camera button, )????

The advantage is you won't have to replace the phone, if the phone DECIDES to spend some time time in water.

I like the xperia z because Sony helps the development for custom ROMs unlike Samsung or HTC. Now I could have went with a nexus 4 but it has no sd card slot. Sony FTW!
