My P10+ doesn't track Galileo

Hi everybody

I'm trying to track galileo satellites with many app (Mobile Topographer Pro, GPS Test, GNSS Test, GPS Status) and I only get GPS and GLONASS

Any idea?

same here - I'm on VKY-L29C432B150 right now (rebranded and OTA updated from VKY-L09C432B123). No Galileo so far with every firmware right now...

Hi,
two days ago, I watched a Beidou Satellite (214). Probably Galileo is in Beta fase and is activated only for a moment...

I can see Beidou satellites every now and then (sometimes up to 3 of them). Galileo / Beidou are not switched on and off but there are not enough sattelites up there to "see" constantly some of them. Right now there are are even more Galileo satellites (18) available as Beidou (14). If you're patient enough you will see Bediou sattelites and you should see more or less the same amout of Galileo sattelites... But I've never seen a single Galileo sattelite...

Vtr-l29c185b151,had the phone 2 days ago and updated directly didn't test it before.

You can use different apps to check which GNSS you're using:

Will see if this satellite shows up so far it isn't showing. might be due to it's position atm, idk.

My P10 also detected Galileo satellites but only using this app:

Sorry, I cannot post links because still have no posted 10 messages in XDA. Anyway the app is in google play under id=com.android.gpstest and is developed by barbeauDev.

I've used a lot of GNSS apps and no other app detected Galileo but this one. Is the same app that user gm007 show in this thread.

My P10 firmware is L29C432B171.

That's very interesting!
Using your app indeed shows millions Galileo but using another app shows me the same amount of satellites but they are labeled as GPS, GLONASS or BEIDOU.
One of this apps must be labeling the satellites wrong...

Huawei P10 don't handle Galileo signal when they are under Androïd 8 or 9... I have a ticket at Huawei support for months but they failed to give me a meaningful answer.
