Im big on design so one of the first things I wanted to do with the z2 was find a bunch of drawing apps. And so far the range is sub par compared to the ones available on ios.

Paper by 53 is a major app not available on Android.

I prefer android but can see myself using an ipad while using a z3 phone. Although I suspect I will end up buying into the whole apple eco system not because andoird is bad but because in the creative industry apples eco system offers so much more.

Im hopeful more oem will jump on to the windows 10 train as there is alot of potentioal.

So how are people feeling now that it has been out for like a year or something?
I finally got Google to refund my Nexus 9, after 6 returns.
So I'm debating on whether I should get the Sony Z2 tablet, or wait for the Z4.
Pros for the Z2 is price and battery compared to screen. (1080p is more than enough for screens this size)
Pros for the Z4 is longer support from Sony.

What do you guys think?

The tablet is still great, love it.
Especially now with Lollipop which makes it even run smoother and the battery last even longer.
How do you come to the conclusion that the battery of the Z4 is worse?? There are NO reviews available ATM because the device hasn't been released yet. It is quite possible that thr Z4s battery life is even better than the Z2s! We will only know after release.
So I would recommend to wait a bit and, if no problems are reported, go for the Z4.

I chose the Z2 which will be arriving on Monday :D
The reason is the screen. It still has the same 6000mah batteri that the Z2 carries, but twice the screen resolution, which means an insane amount of pixels to push and power.
I know the S810 is supposed to be more battery friendly, but I'm seeing great results on the S801 on both my Z2 and OnePlus One.
In addition, the S810 has overheating problems, which suggests that performance will take a hit.. I know the Z4 is a tablet with larger areas to dispatch the heat, but I really think qualcomm screwed something up in the S810.

I come from the Nexus 9, which has a 2K screen and a dual-core K1 processor. The batterylife is horrible, and performance can't quite keep up with the higher resolution.

Hello, please help if any one can..New here, itsbabout hotspot!

Yesterday i ota updated xperia Z2 tab..to stock 4.4.4 from 4.4.2( every is stock and not rooted problem is that i did it on request device is not mine but from family on the wife side  )

Everything went fine
WI/FI tethering(hotspot)
stopped working between tablet (as the main source of theirs data) plan and other devices, so they now only can use the tablet but not computer other mobiles on wi/fi and they are going crazy cause there is four members using theter..

Is it a known problem with 4.4.4..should i upgrade it to lollipop?
Root is not an option they are keeping warranty.
Is there any app to reccomend?

Anybody else have this: An after-market magnetic charging connector (maybe too strong of a magnet) pulled out my Z2T connector. I can push it back in for full functionality, but I expect it probably has violated the integrity of the water-resistant seal. I'd send it to Sony, except when I did that with my Z1C, it took 9 weeks to get back.

I would like some advice from you. Should I buy a tablet from 10 "and I'd like the new Z4 but it costs too much. The Z2 find it on Amazon for about 400 Euros and I wonder if it is still valid, or as an alternative to buy the Samsung S2 Galaxy Tabs 9.7 "LTE or Galaxy Tab A 9,7" LTE or LTE Asus ZenPad 10 ... give me some advice?

It really depends on your needs.

The Z2 is still fast enough, so I see no need to upgrade. €400 is a lot, though. I paid €550 for my SGP512 in April 2014...

The Samsungs could be equipped with Exynos SoCs, so AOSP-based ROMs could be unavailable. If this is a disadvantage or not again depends on your needs etc.

So my advice is to check the details and then decide for yourself.

Sorry, but I can't tell you what to do - it depends on your needs!

For example, I dislike Samsung's Touchwiz and would only buy a Samsung device if I'm able to flash AOSP/CM/OMNI. But other people I know exclusively use Touchwiz-based ROMs because they interface so nicely with their Samsung-TV.

So read some good reviews, check the XDA-forums and make up your mind about what you want/need/like.

The Z2 tablet isn't slow by any means, as I have already said I see no need to replace it. But I'm no hardcore Android gamer, for such use cases it could again look differently, IDK.

Yeah, that is really nice - just keep in mind that currently you should update till 5.0.2 at latest and root there, then flash last version from recovery prerooted.

With lollipop the tablet really is better that it was before. It's just that i got 1 area with quite a lot dead pixels and one are is somehow orange so i'll have send it in. Both at places i rarely use my fingers so i wonder how they did get there - i am using original case too btw. so it couldn't lay on something. The other part - i am a bit disappointed about there is no advanced version of Stock Rom like eXistenZ Premium LP Rom for Z2 - I mean there are even roms like RockZ1LP (and few others) that as name suggests are for Z1 bringing Z5 Features. The Tablet branch is somehow less focused. I also will never understand/accept why there is no flashlight at nearly any tablet.
