General My phone is locked to AT&T (unpaid balance)

Bought it on eBay. Does anyone know of a way to work around the problem? I want to use the phone in Mexico. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

AT&T is notorious about collections. It's a matter of principle with them.
They will likely blacklist the imei...
Easiest thing to do is return the phone to the seller and get a full refund. Their bad.

Are you sure you weren't talking about network unlock? I am talking about bootloader unlock codes.

As you can see here someone suggesting rooting this phone so it must be possible with AT&t otherwise they wouldn't suggest this right?

That's not what this thread is about... way off topic. AT&T doesn't control the bootloader.
