My S9 (Exynos) got the first Firmware Update

, I just got my unlocked S9 960U today in NC, USA ordered from Samsung's site last. Earlier this evening I got a software update. I haven't let it run yet. My phone came with Oreo UEU1ARB7 on it.

dear all "not receiving yet the update" guys.
please let me bring you some info without being too hard and without hate me:

1. you can either update your device by downloading the new firmware from Sammobile/firmware and chosing your desired country

2. you can either download the new DBT firmware by using Samfirm tool

for installing, you have the following options:
1. either full install of the new firmware using ODIN and you will have your phone updated like out of the box
2. either install using ODIN but instead of using normal CSC you can chose the Home_CSC and in this case you won;t lose anything from your phone, it will be like an OTA update.

I woke up and got the Update Notification.

But I'm struggling with it.
Is there any chance for a root without tripping Knox? (Meltdown/Spectre for ARM or something like that) I know, that the newest patch level fixes the most of them.

Hi,

I use Hotspot and since this update, when I connect my computer to the S9 wifi, I can not connect to a PPTP VPN.
Does anyone have the same problem or can test?
