...make sure that you wipe any excess off, speaker holes any that rolled off the edge prior to doing the UV for the second time as it will solidify the glue and will make it harder to remove.
:((

I think some solid glue is over the speaker, do you have any tips on how to take it off?

thank you in advance,

Yep case is pushing up glass. See if you can trim away some of the edge on the case. After that apply some heat on glass to see if that fixes it.

On all 3 installs I have done, no glue came anywhere near the speaker. When I tilted the jig and dropped the glass, glue ran down the left side between the Bixby and volume buttons, same location, every time. Be patient, let the glue run down to where its' center is just past the center line, and pull the pin - don't worry about the speaker, and don't touch the glass before you cure it.

Thanks so I don't need to worry about taping nothing up? I'm going to do it in the bathroom too run the shower for a bit try keep the dust down lol

So I do the glue then tip the tray down till the glue is hitting the screen protector then pull out the plastic tab?

Thanks I've fitter loads of screen protectors but never been so nervous of messing one up then now lo

I didn't tape anything, personally. If you do it right, I don't see why you need to tape the speaker (there is a good chance it will run down a side and onto the back, but this wipes off).
Make sure whatever surface you do it on is 100% level. If you don't have a level the cheap way to do it is to put the glue bottle on it's side, rotate it a few times (45 degrees per turn), each time checking to see if it rolls. If it does in any direction, it's not level - Find another surface.

Look closely at the jig. There are arrows on either side of the long sides - These are the alignment arrows for tilting the glue. You want the *center* of the glue to go just past these arrows before you remove the pin. Don't remove it when the edge of the glue reaches it. Finally, WAIT. 3-4 minutes is not overkill - let the glue fully disperse, you'll see it suck itself all along the edges.

Thanks again I'll be doing it tomorrow once it turnes up I've seen a few videos where when tilted once the glue starts hitting the screen protector which is around the arrows then they have pulled the tab out

Only thing I've seen people tape up is the earpiece but I think that was more on the s8 plus

Thanks again for your help I've been through about 15 screen protectors and cases with built in one's and there all awful so not time for the main one hopefully lol

Well applied and I've either been unlucky or done something wrong as I have a bubble near the right of the display and a couple near the bottom right darn

Any way to remove these or is it a case of starting again

So after trying every other form of screen protector under the sun and tearing some of them off inside an hour because of how horrible they were I finally went for the Whitestone Dome. Thanks to everyone who has conributed to this thread I had a perfect install. I never would have thought of checking that my actual surface was level! Point is though, my Dome had a sticker to cover the speaker grill and some absorbent strips down the sides of the jig. I haven't seen anyone mention those are they new?

Yes, it sounds like they are new additions to the kit. What do the absorbent strips look like?

I asked to return the film to amazone, I do not know if mine is defective or are all so, too narrow in width and does not cover well side edge creating a troublesome line you confirm that they are all like that?

Yeah they're all like that. It's a bit silly given it's supposed to be "100% coverage".

As you note this causes a noticeable lip to the edge of the device. That said it's still the best screen protector for note 8.

Bit mixed feelings here. I watched every possible instruction video from you tube. Fails and succes stories. I'm sure I did everything absolute correct.

I did everything to the letter correct. I even leveled my table to 100% strait with leverel! After i opened cap and let the glue pour on the display it doesn't puddle same way as in videos. Puddle of loca glue is bit bigger and less uniform. When I tilt my phone glue won't move down in a bundle, but it starts to spread to form strait line. Top part of buddle stays where it is and lower part of it spreads down forming a wide line. When I pull pin it will form pubbles.

I didn't cure it. I removed glass and swiped it and phone clean again with water, alcohol and wipes. Used dustremoval stickers and started from start.

Exactly same thing happened again. Budle of glue won't move downwards when tilted. It just spreads and forms pubbles when pin is pulled. I had to accept this at this point as I don't have more glue left. I managed to work out pubbles with squigee, but now I have several extreamly small pubbles and one hair under my screen protector.

I'm pretty sure that this happens because note 8 has a such a poor oleophpic coating. Worst I have ever had in eny device. It's all ready bit worn (3 months old device) and every single touch of fingers leaves smudges. That caused the glue bubble to stick where it was poured.

I would say that this whitestone kit is NOT compatible with older devices that has been used without screen protectors.

Still best you can use with note 8 and trying to learn not to look at those extreamly minor pubbles and tiny hair or fiber trapped in there. I might try one more...
