Xoom Still Living On

Im still actively using my Xoom daily but its begining too show its age and im looking at a possible upgrade. Im thinking the new nexus 10 may be the best upgrade from the Xoom.

I bought my used Xoom wifi about a year ago, immediately rooted it and ran various CM 4.2's. I decided to take the leap of re-partitioning and installed the unofficial OmniRom Kit Kat 4.4.2 making sure I explicitly followed ALL the directions, procedures, and tweaks. This has brought the device back to life and I am very pleased that it works so well.

I think you jumped the gun too soon

yep. i just leave my Xoom goodbye yesterday. I bought nexus 7 3g and I'm really happy. the top reasons to consider nexus 7 are: less hand fatigue, 100 % so portable, fast software update, good customer support( service centre just in front of my house), its an Asian product and cheap. reasons to dump Xoom: lack of software update, Motorola doesn't keep their promises, bulky, hand fatigue, not really portable, most of all, hard to play games especially when pressing button. so goodbye xoomers.

Well, the last CM11 KitKat upgrade to my Xoom was day before yesterday, St. Patrick's Day(Upgrades are common just about every week. There are a few things they need to get straightened out, but all-in-all, this is still a super machine. I've owned some other Chinese machines with faster processors, but they aren't as well supported. Further, the Xoom isn't that much heavier than my friend's i-pad. Fact its, it might be lighter. Resolution is wonderful, and it just plain outclasses most of the competition in regards to support, build quality, ports, etc..

I'm not willing to get rid of mine at all.
