@JasonACT, does Total Commander allow replacing syncapps xml directly on the unit? I am thinking about permanent install of certain apps on the system (e.g. this dongle's AutoPlayBox.exe app) by copying apps on the internal memory and editing the xml to show them on the application list instead of png running.
Sorry rioachim,I think I was a little too quick to say this would work, the SyncAppsRunner.exe currently only runs off the USB or SD card, but attached is a new version of the xPlugin.dll which will run it from /Windows/ if it finds it there first. All three places are checked in order. (Completely untested, sorry, this isn't something I want to do.)
I've also created a LibVNCClient version of VNC for Sync 2 / CE:
You need to configure your VNC server machine for 800x480 (easy on a Raspberry Pi, harder on a Windows PC - but not impossible). There's a .txt file in the VNCCE folder with two lines - the IP address, followed by the VNC authentication password (more secure auth methods are not implemented). There is an invisible button right up the top and in the centre - to close the connection and return to Sync. Left-click is implemented, along with dragging, and if you press the touchscreen in the same place for 750ms and let go, it will right-click.
Yeah, I'm showing off my Windows developer skills here. Don't ask me for help, but if there are issues with what little it can do, I may try and fix it. Enjoy.
