No offense, but why do you want so much private info, such as my full name, my birthday, etc? Make that stuff 100% optional.
Hey I completely understand

Birthday is for my host to confirm you are old enough to use the site

Full Name- Doesn't really matter if you use your full name you could use a username.

It's not asking for so much private info such as your address or social security number :)

Just one small point - while registering, we are required to answer the question "Which company does Android belong to".. I entered "it's open source software", and I was told it's the wrong software. I was able to proceed when I entered "google".

I think you should allow the answers "open source" or at least "open handset alliance" rather than just "google". Just a nitpick, though ;)

But... Google is the company that literally owns Android. They started the concept, and now are at Android 2.2 Froyo. The answer 'Google' is perfect. Open handset is just a group that companies have joined in creating the best user experience for smartphones, and that do that with the Android platform.

Agreed that Google is a major and the most visible player in the Android arena. However, technically, since Android is an open source project, other companies can (and do?) submit code. Also, if someone refers to Wikipedia entry for Android, the company is listed as OHA. I'd suggest that the answer OHA be allowed, in addition to Google. Anyway, don't mean to hijack the thread -- it's a small issue!

kobecamp2009, if all you're trying to do is avoid automated signups, why not ask questions like other sites do -- "what is 2+2" and so on :D
