how do i uninstall the updates from the google play market?
Uninstall the updates for the Google Play Market, then, quickly, install a random free app from the downgraded version.
Go the the app list in ReLaunch, long press on the Market and tap on uninstall.
The work-around is to install and use the SearchMarket app (http://www.appbrain.com/app/searchmarket/youten.redo.searchmarket).
Enable "unknown sources", download the app (e.g., using browser), then using a file-manager app to open the downloaded apk file you'll be prompted if you want to install it.

If your Nook is a regular ST (not a Glow) I'd suggest you try TouchFormatter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475613.sigh.. I need some help.. I followed these instructions and sadly my nook is now in an endless loop.. am I screwed???

Had the exact same thing the first time I rooted...
Reset to stock http://nookdevs.com/Nook_Simple_Touch_restore_to_stock and try again.
Hope this helps, and you enjoy the root!
ok that worked and I am now back to complete new.. so you did it once and it failed and did it again and it worked??? I am going to try again.. I mean worse thing would be I reset again.
Yes... Don't know what happened that first time. Have had no issues since while rooting with TouchNooter or NookManager.
Do you have another microSD card you can try with? I had had issue with a 32 & 16 GB card... used a 4 GB Class 4 card (Sandisk) and had no problems. Other than the frozen screen the first time.
Could always try NookManager...
took the hint in the first mention of nookmanager and tried it and it installed flawlessly the first time.. now to see how it works.. dunno why I could not get this one to work.. but.. here we are rooted..
thanks

I just tried to root my daughter's new Nook Simple Touch (1.2 firmware) with the touchnooter-2-1-31 image written to a microSD card but it just hangs at the Touchnooter instruction screen forever. If I remove the SD card and try to reboot it hangs at the "Your Nook is starting up..." screen. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks
This thread is deprecated, however you should be able to use GlowNooter on the normal TouchNooter (based on how B&N does their updates it should work for both). If anyone can confirm this I'll change the front post to properly link to the current update.
No it will not revert to stock. But if you go to my website you can download an mSd card Image that will restore everything back to the original factory firmware image. nook Root (Just click on the "nook Touch" link on the nav bar)
