N5 ROM ports for S6 Edge Plus?

I've read a bit about this but am still somewhat confused . How can I tell which ROMs are safe and what kernel to go about installing? I just need a good jumping off point and should be able it handle it from there.

Also, does using the N5 software provide many extra features or performance bumps? Pretty exited to try this project.

A good solid starting point for this would be to check the Arter97 kernel thread, as to my knowledge he has a way to bridge over with a custom TWRP build.

No clue if it's any better or worse, I just wish for AOSP lol.
