I had an Acer A100 for a while and although it was super-versatile, it had some serious issues. The biggest was the terrible battery life (4 hours). It helped that the 12v charger would recharge the tablet in about an hour, but it still was a pain to deal with. Also, to cut corners, Acer opted for a cheap display which had poor viewing angles, especially on one side. Finally, the A100 was plagued with very poor touch response. A couple developers added some tweaks to improve it, but it was still a major problem for most users.
I'm sure Acer learned a few lessons with the A100, but early reports on the A110 indicate that they are going with the same cheap LCD they used previously. We'll see...

I decided to get a nexus 7 for the Google support and dev scene. Actual hardware isn't that important to me as long as it works. Shoot I only paid $200 flat for my 8gb.

Acer builds a solid product. If bootloader is unlocked its much better then nexus in my opinion
current a500 owner here
as well as nexus 7
Asus Does not know a thing about support. I would have never bought the
nexus if Google were not involved.

So from the picture the op provided it looks like the Acer tablet is going to run pure android (is this going to be a Google device?) it might be a 3G device cuz isn't the tegra 3 quad core processor incompatible with 4g antennas?

A500 also had pure HC. Samsung were the only ones that put their crappy UI on the HC tablets.

As for 4G on tegra 3, look up 'icera'.

I had the A500 and 100 both were great tablets. I really miss the hdmi on the A100 I have been on a few vacations when I wished I had it for the nexus. Even in the house there has been times when I wanted to hook my tab up and stream a movie off the home network. If Acer is able to deliver a good battery, gps, and mic (problems in the past), I'm sold.

Funny thing is I dont really agree with you. Me and three of my friends have Asus laptops that are still going strong beyond the fact I had to get a new battery a while back. Also I have bought Asus components for years for my PC. My motherboard and video card are both Asus. My experience with their RMA process has been great, my motherboard had issues and they sent it back to me within a week. Asus is huge as all hell so I don't think you are always going to have a consistent experience with them but me and my buddies still rock them because we all have.

I'm very happy with my Nexus 7. It is the right size and hasn't had a single problem.
