The Dual SIM fix is used to allow you to use the cable adding an SD card to the device and curing the "micro-lag" that would result from doing so.

I personally don't run this set-up on my Note9 but, I'm trying to convince my wife to use my old N8 to consolidate her business phone and work phone, so I've been studying up.
I see you have this:
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Exynos (960F/DS)- Dr. Ketan's Pie Beta P07-Pro w/TEKHD's TMB Detonator mod

Can you tell us the order in which you did these mods, and do you have TWRP and which order did you do that mod?
And are you rooted? Is Knox tripped?

Open question for anyone.

After I flash the detonator, do I need to reset the csc to stock before flashing another ROM?
You'd be advised to do just that. You may need to do more. Detonator, and the ROM, leave lasting images all over the device. ;) Be real, real sure you've got a clean EFS back-up with TWRP.

How come no sprint same phone
Sprint is a CDMA device. We're all GSM.

Duh.

Hello. Nice pick-up on my device and set-up. Saved me from having to scold you. ;)

I'm currently not running the set-up. However, I have ordered the cables and they should be here in a week or three. When they arrive, I plan to buy a TMO PP SIM and see if I can run the set-up with my 256G Micro SD.

The good Doctor Ketan's ROM has a Tweaks package that enables the Dual-SIM + SD set up.

I'll report back once my cables arrive.

SOLVED: used CSC-CSCSelection_S7_S8_N8_V1.0.6

I have asked the CarHDROM OP, Carotix, and members but he/they do not seem to know the answer to this CSC issue.

I have a G955 international exynos phone, using here in the U.S. on AT&T. I have also put on the Pie CarHDROM, which automatically loads a German CSC for ATT, and does work here in the US.

In the past, with CARHDRoms I had a CSC package I could flash after the ROM install and the US XAA CSC's were available.

I have tried this CSC package, CSCSelection_SM-G95XF_V2.0.0_0_Final.zip, but after I flash it, I get a warning that the rom version couldn't be verified, and this CSC package may not be compatible. and if I go ahead and flash, upon boot I get a looping error "IMS has stopped", and my phone slows way down. Clearing cache and also cache in TWRP, and or 'freezing' does not help.

I don't really understand the CSC propagation. Say for ATT, will the CSC really change with each Android update, say from M to O, or O to Pie?

Any insight on how this stuff works and correct CSC package to flash will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Alright, my cables arrived today. As soon as I can buy a SIM, I'll give the Dual SIM + SD set up and report back.

This bricked my Note 9. Came up with wanting sim unlock code. Then on trying to go back into recovery, I got black screen of wrong os type message. Could not get out of it. Then Odined back to stock firmare, to recover and on boot get sim unlock code again. Tried factory reset, still sim code. Odin fails twrp flash.

Anyway to recovery from this?

yeah from a full twrp backup.

secondly check in efs/imei/mpscode.dat is there and has your original csc code that matches rhe firmware you reverted to.

for your convenience a screenshot of the folder.
be sure permissions also match.

what u can try after is take out sim, wipe cache and data in recovery and odin back everything once again, fill up all 4 slots and for csc choose csc.md5 and not the home one.

let phone reboot to initial setup then close it and re insert sim.

Unfortunately I don't have full backup. Its toast. Returning it back to Amazon. I'm just gonna stick with a USA model and already ordered the LG V30 that bootloader unlockable and get 2 years warranty from LG.

This international Note 9 had no warranty after 30 days. Lesson learned. :(

well if initially you rooted then flash back twrp, format data and at least try to flash this:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AhXVLDDj8g3AgfI94085lX8j78PWtw
choose xaa and right carrier.

if your initial attempt to flash the detonator pack was done with twrp, i dont think ull be able to return it since you voided warranty by flashing twrp and knox fuse is tripped.

This seems a bit drastic.

It's quite simple to recover from the Sim unlock code nonsense. I had he same thing happen to my Note9. Seriously.

Odin stock firmware>OEM unlock>Odin TWRP and you're right back in business.

Hi, I flashed this Detonator for T-Mobile on the Note 9, but after booting up the phone, I don't see any of the T-Mobile apps. How do I get the TMO apps and services installed? Will they download and install themselves somehow?

Thanks.

You can tell by a few different ways...the phone should boot up with a T-Mobile splash screen. Then you can go to settings>about phone>software information. Then look a service provder SW ver.

The phone does boot with the T-Mobile splash screen. It appears the MOD was installed successfully. However, none of the T-Mobile apps or services were installed with the MOD, such as WiFi calling, Voicemail, etc. Are these expected to have been installed already somehow? Since the base phone is expected to be an international version, these apps wouldn't be installed, so how are they supposed to get installed?

It's odd, because after inspecting the Detonator zip file itself, none of these services are included, and I don't know how my phone will receive them. Service Provider ver. is SAOMC_SM-N960U_OYN_TMB_PP_0018.

WiFi calling, VoLTE et. al must be enabled. Depending on your ROM you may be able to enable via Quick Toggles. If those aren't present, you can enable them via the Phone>Settings menu.

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that Wi-Fi Calling toggle is available in the Quick Toggles, and I did enable it. However, there is no indication in the Notifications Panel that it is actually enabled, and I don't see Wi-Fi calling showing an indicator when I dial someone. Also, if I enable Airplane Mode + WiFi and try to call someone, I get asked to disable Airplane mode. If Wi-Fi Calling is truly working, this should work. It looks like the Quick Toggle is there, but no actually functionality behind it. I did check the Phone > Settings and chose WiFi Preferred for WiFi Calling, but the phone doesn't seem to use WiFi for calling. Anyone else notice this?

Ok, it looks like the Wi-Fi Calling just was not working due to a firewall enabled on my phone. I enabled subnet routing, and this appears to have resolved the issue!
