Carl - if I am still on JB do I just odin the files and it will upgrade me to KK? Do these files take the place of the whole process to move to KK? Do I need to unroot first or just odin the files and I will be good to go?

Sorry for all the questions. Appreciate all you do for us! [emoji106]

Yes you install this. You do not have to unroot or do anything else.

Who cares about the custom screen, man. You've had a useless brick for a couple of months. Lol
You can remove that custom screen easily by unrooting. Follow the instructions in my thread here fixes for everyone and hopefully it'll fix it for you.
Well it works perfectly fixed my softbricked phone from a couple months back but still shows the custom screen on boot

Try rebooting again
Boot into Factory Recovery and do Factory reset
If you still have lock screen
Then redo the Odin install except this time use the pit file, this will give you a clean install and reformat all Your partitions

If you root and install safestrap you will get the lockscreen back

I used the pit file from when i went to mlg and it worked fine . Now the custom screen has went away . I think im more happy than anything about being able to watch pocorn time while screen mirroring without calls and stuff messing it up.

Carl, I see that you have the Re-partition checked. Is that OK?

@K-Alzwayed

Warning I just tested and learned that doing the
4 file install automatically formats phone and internal sdcard making a OEM install
You loose all files and pictures on your internal sdcard

Installing the N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.md5

Does not touch your internal sdcard ( making it good for starting over and not loosing your user-data stuff

yes that is ok as long as you use all the odin files.
even with re-partition selected, USING N900AUCUCNC2_N900AATTCNC2_N900AUCUCNC2_HOME.tar.md 5 it did not touch my internal sdcard or user-data files, all my personal apps and info was still there. to format your internal sdcard you would need to boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset, the your internal sdcard is a OEM factory.

If you dont add the pit file does that mean that all your stuff stays as it was like it does if you get an ota update? Id like to go ahead and get my now daily driver all official but i dont realy want to spend the hours setting it back up.

Also on JB NB4 rooted and safestrapped. No need to uninstall safestrap either? (I know, you did say anything else!) Then again, wouldn't it be okay to get rid of SS 3.71 and be ready for 3.75? Pretty exciting stuff. Downloading <home> right now.

If you use home file coming from JB you need to do a factory reset from the stock recovery. Home installer will not remove safe strap and JB stuff off internal sdcard, so you may experience issues.
