It is weird, because T-Mobile hasn't even released their latest firmware yet. So it's definitely not TMB, just like venom0642 stated, it's AT&T Stock.

The one doing all the work is the csc because i am on BRA8 and i am carrier tmo and phone is tmo and i get TMB/TMB/TMB

try to reinstall the firmware with another carrier sim you want. , but first, before restore insert the sim and reboot. Worked for me.

Still Tmo, so somehow I've downloaded a firmware that gives me tmb/tmb/att using both of the links provided.

If you insert any at&t card phone will switch automatically at&t with out flashing any firmware. This is made so we can switch between carriers easier. All now is base on providers sim card and have nothing to do what firmware you flash.

Correct if you try to do this you will hard brick your phone basically your phone will be a paper weight.

Thanks norbarb, so this also affects the opening splash screen as well? Shouldn't it be the att branding that shows up as it boots and not tmo?

I was on 3BRA6 And i Odin to 3BRA8 on my AT&T Note 8 so it's worth it , Also if another new Oreo shows will be based off 3BRA8, So you want to Odin to AT&T 3BRA8.

USERDATA goes in last slot and CSC is what gives the features to each carrier, so like AT&T the toggles and certain features like Wi-Fi Calling etc etc.

So there it is. I decided to put my wife's att sim in and, well, nothing's changed tmb/tmb/att

This wouldn't bug me so much if I knew the why. Prior to me trying to flash back to ATT I was on Unlocked variant. So it was ATT->XAA-> to what was supposed to be ATT, instead I got TMO software with the junk associated with it.

Not sure but it's not the Odin files, what i think is the unlocked firmware you had on before might of messed something up and probably why is giving you TMO.

well, I'm going to go the full xda way here and attempt to brick it (I don't really want to but let's see what happens) and see if I can make it fully tmo. I'm downloading the 3BRA6 version.

Yes. Reconfigurate whole device.

You need to factory reset phone with at&t sim in.

If you have phone from AT&T all you get will be tmb/tmb/att
